  1. Sam has a wonderfully relaxed way about him. That's a very rare thing in a chaotic 24-hour city and it feels very welcoming. Like you can come and linger and stay as long as you like.
The coffee was decent, the chocolate chip muffin was delicious and the everything bagel with lox cream cheese was just about perfect. I wish he'd been a little more generous with the lox cream cheese but I could be enticed to commit crime for the right quality of cream cheese so maybe you can disregard that.
    Good all around.
    Go.

  2. I had a few minutes to spare this morning and stopped by for an everything bagel with lox spread. I also got a big latte and a chocolate chip cookie (because the cookies looked great!). The woman working behind the counter was really nice and the latte was the best I've had in the neighborhood and for only $3.50! They use ILLY espresso which made me happy.
The bagel was fantastic, crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. The lox spread was loaded with pieces of lox in the cream cheese. Definitely one of the better and more generous lox spreads I have had.
I was told that they have specials on the weekend and last weekend's was falafel. I am hoping they do more Middle Eastern food if people like it because it'd be fantastic to have a bagel/Arab restaurant 🙂

  3. My companion and I went here for breakfast two mornings in a row while visiting the area. The overall setup of this place was such that I really loved the place. I loved it too much that I would definitely come back here again when I visit for the next time in the future.

So, what is there to like?

Well, the croissants are amazing, not too flaky, and very delicious. The omelettes are very tasty. The coffee is great. And more importantly, the guy who wears a beret and stands behind the counter is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. He knows who is his regular customers (hence, he spotted that we were new) and makes the newbies love the place as quick as he can. Seriously, folks, I wish I were living in this area.

Maybe, I've been living in Germany too long that I have been desensitized to typical human friendliness (as Germans tend to be cold in public), but seriously, I love this place, not only for the good food and coffee, but also for the general niceness of the people running this place.

  4. I've known about this place for a really long time but only came here for the first time while my brother was visiting me. He and his partner really liked the place so they went twice and I came along on the second visit. Cozy place, nice atmosphere, and the owner is super friendly. It's definitely a neighborhood spot. I wanted lox but he was out of it so I actually didn't get to try his bagels. Perhaps that was a good thing since my bagel standards are pretty high thanks to Murray's. Instead I had the chicken salad on rye and that was lovely.

  5. My sisters and I are constantly gabbing about Jujus. It is the best ever neighborhood breakfast spot and everything from the food to the service is flawless.

For less that $10, I think it ran about $7, my younger sister and I each got a fresh and delicious bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel. No powdered eggs or microwaved products here!  One of these days, I'm going to branch out and try one of their breakfast specials like pancakes with fresh fruit or croissant French toast.

I don't even live in NYC, but I feel like a regular. Best best best ever.

  6. The service here is great and so are the bagels. the actual lunch food its so so I wouldn't come here for that.

  7. Great vibe.  It must be the food, the beverages, the many options of sandwich, salad, panini?  If I had to describe the feeling in here, it would be the following: positive, friendly, and warm!  Singles, couples, families are all here having a blast and absorbing the cool air conditiioning before braving this hot, hot, hot summer.  There is an encouraging feeling once you walk in.  I love their coffee, their millions of different cream cheeses, especially lox spread!   I also enjoy the music that they play in here.  It would probably not be a place to bring the laptop and start working. I sense it is more of a let's chat up kind of scene.  Yes, I would come back…
