Rosticceria
“This prime rib sandwich is so pure, so untouched by the hand of 'over doing it', that all the flavors come through perfect.”
“The olive oil bridges the crusty bread with the juicy meat and adds a nice round of sophisticated taste.”
“The Porchetta on the other hand is a bit more dry, but soooo deliciously seasoned.”

I LOVEEE the prime rib sandwich.
Juicy prime rib, olive oil, and sea salt on a giant baguette. This is the perfect example of how quality and fresh ingredients is all you need. How can such simple ingredients make such a deeeeelicious sandwich? I have no idea, but this place never ever fails to disappoint.
The sandwich itself is pretty big. I usually share one with a friend or save the other half for later.
If you're in the area you MUST stop by. You will not be disappointed.
I hate to say this, but I've discovered two amazing sandwiches at Eataly, and now, dare I say it, I LOVE it!
Don't get me wrong, overall Eataly is crowded most of the time and the staff is full of rude people that look like they hate everyone, but OMG the sandwiches! The prime rib and porchetta are to die for. I love simple foods that are well seasoned, and this is the epitome of that! A nice crusty baguette, some olive oil, sea salt, and a huge, steaming pile of MEAT! YUMM!!!!
Both were perfectly balanced with lean and fatty pieces and very nicely seasoned.
You can't go wrong with the porchetta or prime rib, but I suggest going with a friend and sharing both!!
Do not believe the hype about the prime rib sandwich. It's a nice piece of bread served with some cold, mediocre prime rib all for a mind blowingly high price. We took a detour to try these famous prime rib sandwiches instead of grabbing Shake Shack across the street and boy, was that a mistake. We could have bought more than two times the food and said food would have been way better. Maybe the prime rib is a good substitute for some of the even more overpriced food at Eataly, but this is definitely not something you should go out of your way for.
I typically come here for the roast chicken, which is just fantastic. Super moist and flavorful. You can't go wrong with the chicken here. Today we tried the signature prime rib sandwich. An excellent sandwich – simple but delicious. The prime rib is of very high quality. The only real draw back is fighting your way through the crowds and praying for a place to sit and eat. Better for take-away.
Different sandwich everyday, simply made … good bread, great meat cooked well, some salt, and olive oil and that is it. I came here on a Monday and it was the Port Arista sandwich that day, it was really good even after 4 hours later. Sitting at the airport and eating this in the admirals club, people look at you like they want to kick the crap out of you and take it from your dying hands.
In conclusion, sandwiches are good for here or to go.
I'm going to keep this one short and sweet!
Being in NYC is a food lover's dream and I have vowed not to "double dip" in too many restaurants since there are so many options…this, is the exception.
Whenever Wednesday rolls around, my mouth simply waters at the thought of trekking into Flatiron for the special: Brisket Bollito with salsa verde.
It's meaty, juicy, salty, flavorful, and includes the best bollito.
Get it! Period!
This is definitely not one of the "best" sandwiches in the city. Very salty, very olive oil-y. You can barely taste the meat, which is masked by salt and oil. Amount of meat varies greatly from sandwich to sandwich. Bread was not very good, possibly stale. Sandwich was barely warmed. This place is also stuck at the back of Eataly (very tourist-y) – it's such a huge place, and it's very popular, so why is every aisle the size of an airplane seat?
The prime rib sandwich is heaven on a bun. Sea salt, olive oil and delicious perfectly cooked meat on a crusty bread. I got it with a side of broccoli rabe which I put on the sandwich. The line was long but moved swiftly. The large is expensive like everything else at Eataly but worth it.
