ME Casa Express Food Truck
“their money sauce is indeed money and had i known how money it was, i would've asked for an extra side of it!”
“My favorite sides here are the yellow rice and of course sweet plantain which was fried to perfection.”
“The mofongo is what I remember from PR, the pernil and carne asada is tender and the flavor just burst on your tongue.”

My little latin heart melts….
ME Casa food truck is baaaaanging! Just like their restaurant their truck packs a great punch. The food here is incredible and flavorful. Chef Eddie really knows what he is doing in that kitchen. His pernil is so juicy, the arroz con gandules is perfectly cooked, the money sauce – don't even get me started on his great money sauce!!
I can tell you anything that comes out of this truck is sure to hit every taste bud. Their empanadas, the mofongo, seriously there is nothing bad on this truck. Well maybe that they don't accept credit cards but I look past that since its worth it.
I cant wait to try more dishes on this truck. Customer service is excellent I feel like after a few minutes talking to Eddie its like you are buds for life.
If you see any of their trucks get food. If you don't see any of their trucks on the road just make your way to the restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
I don't know how I missed the Me Casa Express food truck since it hit the streets in June, but I was glad I found it. This is an extension of the Me Casa Puerto Rican restuarant, on the corner of Varick and Christopher Columbus. I have had a great meal there, and my stop at their new food truck was equally delicious.
I ordered the Roast Pork Topped w/ Money Sauce and a side of yellow rice with pigeon peas. It was very, very tasty and the portion was generous. One of the best food truck meals I have ever had. I look forward to returning to Me Casa Express again.
All of the 5 star reviews are absolutely true.
The Me Casa food truck introduced me to the beauty of mofongo. It does take a while to make but it's so worth it. The guy fries the plaintains about 3/4ths of the way, then mashes it into a ball with a mortar and pestle before putting it back into the fryer. The result is a wonderfully crispy ball of plaintains that promptly soaks up whatever meats and sauces you throw at it. Needless to say, I promptly ate up my mofongo with roast pork, which was wonderfully tender and juicy, along with the pigeon peas and rice slathered in spicy cilantro money sauce. The portion was huge but was able to tough it out, thanks to the 10-15 minute wait in sub-freezing temperatures (yes it was worth it.) The guy was friendly, the food was delicious, and the truck location is super convenient; what more can you ask for?
