You can't visit New York and not eat at a halal cart! Yes, you can go to one in the City (Manhattan) if it's your first time or if you're staying there. But if you're willing to explore outside of Manhattan like Brooklyn in this case, then you should try one of the halal carts here.
I've had halal food from Manhattan, it's good, it's delicious, it's nothing like anywhere else (*cough* orange county in CA). But I happen to have friends in the Brooklyn area who have their opinions on where to get the best halal food with the best value. So here we are…at this halal food cart in the brighton beach area of Brooklyn.
We ordered the chicken over rice and the lamb over rice. I had the white and hot sauce put on the side for the chicken dish but went ahead and had them drizzle it over the lamb dish. Words can't express how much I enjoyed the food! We paid $10 for BOTH meals and was completely full and satisfied with it! Hot sauce is hot….so be careful with it.
Every dish on the menu was priced at $5. There was no long lines, and the service was quick. It's cash only as expected.
