Zeytuna

“Amazing little food market that remains a favourite of mine in the financial district.”

“They also have a larger selection of good cheeses and yogurt than Jubilee across the street.”

“Get lost in the "farmer's market" feel of Zeytuna's, even though you're actually food shopping in the middle of FIDI among Ibankers and analysts.”

  1. This place is fantastic.  Anything you want they have it.  Quality meat department?  Check.  Bountiful selection of cheeses?  Check.  Amazing selection of olives and condiments?  Check.  Fresh bread?  you bet.  It's a combo gourmet supermarket, deli, cheesery, etc.  In short the place is awesome.  Service is efficient, usually friendly, although when crowded a little less so.  It's great to get lunch or grab goodies to bring home.  Highly recommend.

  2. YAAAAS  this place is the best deli in FiDi!! Grocery store upstairs which is perfect and has everything you'd need. Then downstairs, there are food bars that are crazy affordable! For a ceaser salad and a drink for less than $5. I go here at least twice a week and have never had a bad experience

  3. Ok so Zeytuna is in my books on the higher end of grocery stores. I really stumbled upon it on my way home as well.

The prices agree and match the higher end status, so don't expect to bargain hunt at a larger chain. If you live in the area then you know how convenient the location is and because of the higher prices I can't say that it's too busy either.

Just come here for some go to as well at the self serve salad bar, hot food bar, or ready to go sushi. Plus get your fancy cheeses and meats at the deli! Oo olive bar too!

Anyways, it's really a unique location and the downstairs with the food court / eatery isn't bad either. Come check it out, it serves the area and clientele well.

  4. I only shop here for convenience when I don't have time to go to Chinatown for groceries. The stuff is definitely more expensive than I could get elsewhere, but certain things are okay. My go-to items usually include bananas, cauliflower, sushi, organic apples, organic kale or other greens since these aren't much more expensive than Chinatown or are organic produce I can't get there.

There's also a self-serve salad and hot food bar and various ready-made meals sold by weight. The line's never crazy like at Trader Joe's. The selections aren't great if you want to browse a wide range of produce, but if you want something quick in fidi, Zeytuna's probably got it, in terms of both groceries or a cooked meal.

  5. Decent grocery store in FiDi but a little bit small and claustrophobic. But it was just what I was looking for on a hot day when I didn't want to trek over to Whole Foods.

  6. This review is for the food hall downstairs only.

I started coming here for the salad bar selection and prices a few months ago and became a pretty frequent customer, despite the awful customer service on the cashiers' part (they love to ignore customers and keep talking amongst themselves without saying a word as they ring you up). However, one day I came back to my office with my salad and found a bug… that was STILL ALIVE. I immediately spit out my food and haven't been back since.

  7. Kind of overpriced, but the cheese selection is ABSURD. seriously, they probably have every cheese own to man. Wish I could say the same about the fruit, its never fresh here! Would recommend going to 55 Fulton Market a block away because its cheaper and they have a better selection of everything (besides cheese). They have a lot of unique dessert items like pocky and maccaroons, so that's cool. I've heard the sushi is good too but never tried it.

  8. The produce room smells a bit funky like it was once the seafood room. The cheese selections is good here but slightly over priced. Their fruits and cabbage and potatoes are of good quality.

They sell spickles!!! Made in Brooklyn!

Their deli selection is robust. They do have fresh bakery breads. They also have fresh homemade sausages at the meat counter which are very tasty! No nitrates in the homemade sausage is bonus.
