I was expecting a coffee shop when I first walked in but it was really a mix of deli, grocery, and food to go place. I got their Tex-Mex breakfast burrito and it was surprisingly good. They have a vegan version as well. The latte on the other hand was a bit underwhelming. I got a large latte and it tasted more like coffee flavored milk than a balance of milk and espresso. Hopefully their regular drip coffee will taste much better as their beans are from Stumptown.
This is really more of a higher end deli than it is a coffee shop or breakfast place, it appears a little deceptive at first. But no matter, I ordered a Pico de Gallo breakfast burrito with bacon and was happy enough. It's got scrambled eggs, pico, home fries…it's nice and filling and just a little spicy. The packaging was a little inconvenient. They cut the burrito in half but then wrap it in one solid piece of thin paper, then again in heavy butchers paper. This makes getting one half of what's supposed to be a portable breakfast a fiasco. But once that struggle was over and I had dropped potatoes everywhere, the product was solid.
The woman behind the counter was also really sweet.
Good sandwiches. I like the classic, and during lunch time you can get one on a roll for only 5$.
There are tons of options for vegetarians and vegans including yummy looking cakes and cookies.
