  1. Wow, I didn't know there was a small supermarket in Astoria that sold European grocery and snacks!  Prices are a little higher than their American counterparts but that is expected. They accept credit cards with a minimum purchase of $10 ($15?). Aisles are wide for browsing and don't forget to grab some marzipan chocolate bars here!

  2. For a long time I didnt even know this store existed. They have so many different products, I would love to try many of them but half of the time Im not sure what it is, just that it looks good. They have some good chocolate snacks here. The majority of products seem to be from Balkan countries and Greece, which is understandable because of the local demographics, but they have some products from other countries as well. The main reason I was coming here on a weekly basis at one point was the Walkers crisps! Soo good! Perfect weekend treat when watching English shows on youtube! The bags are small and 1.10 per bag is indeed expensive, but these chips are so much better than American chips and I guess I shouldnt be eating one of those huge bags anyway. This was the only place where I could find Walkers crisps in the local area.

  3. I been coming here since the lines were empty and store had barely any customers, I am so glad Euro Market has started getting customers. They have not changed much but…

    European chocolates, check.

European beer, check. Dogfish and the other American beers taking up the fridge cannot be considered Euro, uncheck.

European packaged products, fruit drinks and snacks, check.

Lots of pickled veggies including my favorite pepperoncini but can be fount in many markets. Including cheap caviar, sardines, spreads, olives and coffee, check.

Huge assortment of smoked and aged deli meats, check.

It could be better and have a larger variety but for what it is in providing a decent array of European products in your average supermarket, good-deal.

  4. There are so many reasons why I love this place. They've got several dried meats and salami, as well as a section of different types of cheeses and feta. If you're nice, they'll even let you sample a few before you make your selection. There's an olive bar, and fresh baked bread as well.

They've got an impressive beer selection, with both European and craft selections. Be careful though with the prices, some brews you can get for way cheaper at TradeFair or Keyfood. They also carry an assortment of European chocolates, cookies, soft drinks, juices and nectar, homemade taramasalata, as well as filo dough and lady fingers for all the bakers out there.

The list can go on and on, more than enough to keep me delightfully sated and satisfied.

    Min $10 for credit charge.

  5. It's been a little over two years since I first came here to check out the mineral water selection. Since then this has been my everyday market and it's just the best. This was one of the things that I really missed when I moved to Manhattan, but it's also one of the things I wanted to be close to when I moved back. I can't say enough good things about the selections of everything I love and I always find something new to try every week.

    I love you Euro Market!!

  6. Yep, there's Mediterranean and Balkan food. But, when you think killer beer selection, do you think Euro Market? Well, you should. I adore exploring new super markets, so I stopped in one day, just to browse, and I was blown away by the great selection of micro brews. Also, there were many gluten free beer options.

    Standouts:

    gluten free beer
more varieties of ajvar than I knew existed
    big olive selection

  7. I finally found a place in Astoria that sells all the craft beer I could want! I haven't seen some of these brands since I worked at a Belgian-influenced craft bar back home in PA. The entire back wall is a giant beer fridge, and they let you mix-and-match as well. I wonder how long it will take me to sample them all….

  8. From the outside, and even the doorway, this grocery store doesn't really stand out. At least, that was the case for me. However, off to the left, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a long line of people waiting by the deli. I was drawn to the hanging meats like a moth to a bug zapper…

They have some of the most incredible sausages!
Whenever I'm in New York, I try to make a swing up to Astoria just to get my meats from Euro market, and so should you!!!
