Nighttime guy was super rude because 1 of us asked for a sample even though 2 out of our group of 3 ordered ice creams with toppings and all. So unnecessarily rude.
I checked in on my Yelp app and walked out before even noticing there was a complimentary Yelp deal for a waffle cone…thank goodness I didn't see if before ordering because he probably would have been even ruder.
I like Haagen -Dazs and while they're not my all time favorite big time, mass produced ice cream brand, their Swiss Chocolate Almond is my favorite of their flavors and greatly reminds me of my childhood and how I used to love their location in Chelsea…ice cream shops should be staffed by friendly people – this guy was a grumpy jerk.
3 stars for my ice cream and 1 star for their scooper.
It was SO hot yesterday that I would only leave my apartment to go to one place: Haagen Dazs. I thought there would be a line out the door, but there was just one other woman in the ice cream parlor with me. I ordered my favorite, a chocolate-vanilla soft serve swirl, which I think is frozen yogurt at Haagen Dazs. It tasted pretty good, and definitely helped me to cool down. But at $4.50 for the regular cup, I almost died. I could have saved myself a few blocks and just gone to the Food Emporium for a quart of ice cream, spending the same amount of $$. On the next hot day you'll find me in the frozen food section of the FE, and not at the local HD.
I enjoy Haagen Dazs – and at the shops you can get pints of flavords you can't usually find in the grocery store. Love the coffee icecream. Also the new line called "Five" has a great Brown Sugar flavor.
