  1. Both times that I've come here, it was 8:30am and the line was out the door. During the the second visit, I decided to time myself …. I was in and out of the place in 9 minutes. Definitely not bad considering I thought I would be in there for at least 20 minutes because of the line. They had 2 quick cashiers, 1 guy preparing the food, and about 3-4 people making the drinks. Cashiers greeted and smiled to each customer, they knew some by name. Barista that handed out the drinks thanked every customer.

    Definitely a good experience.

  2. On a weekend day, after work and before weekend studies, I grace the Starbucks looking for a strong coffee, a caffeine drink for overkill, and maybe a buttered bagel. Cool. The Barista was mad cool. Conversation wise. There is one electrical outlet available but there are wireless charging station. I ask for the charging ring. NOPE.

Only Samsung S6 or S7 can charge without the rings, and we don't carry the rings, so…

So i finish my drinks quickly. Now I need to use the bathroom.  May I have the code for the restroom.  NOPE.

We don't let the public use the restrooms anymore. You can try Pain Quotdien, but they are not open for at least another hour.

In NYC, an establishment with 19 or more chairs should have a bathroom available. So what does the Starbucks do? Yes, that is right, remove enough chairs. 14 will do…

So a customer comes in to purchase, be disappointed,  frustrated, and succumb to caffeine tedious  bathroom  gyrations?

This is but one reason why the bigger the brand, the harder to support.

  3. The quickest, most super efficient, and super friendly Starbucks I have ever been too. Considering how much business this location gets, the staff work very well together and they don't slow down. They keep the line moving and they even have to time to have a quick friendly chat. The Starbucks staff, Nick was friendly and quick with my order.

  4. When I walked in, I was about to walk out again because there was such a long line. Decided to just stay because I wanted to get my green tea latte. There was about 15 people ahead of me in line. I waited in line for about 10 minutes.

I ordered a green tea latte with coconut milk, but they told me that they were out of coconut milk. WHAT??!!!! 🙁 Normally, I would've not gotten anything but since I waited in line for 10 minutes, I ended up getting a soy chai latte instead.

I thought I would be waiting even longer than 10 minutes for my drink because there was such a crowd waiting for their drinks, but I actually got my drink in less than 1 minute after placing my order. WHAT??!!!! I was impressed. I guess everyone else got a hot drink or espresso drink.

  5. Usual long wait considering the location. Most of the staff are down to earth and try their best at getting the job done with the exception of the bigger Black female cashier that is almost always there.
I want to clarify by saying that I am a Sbux regular, and when I order, it's straight-cut and to the point, but whenever I am dealt with that particular cashier it always seem like She's doing me the biggest favor to put my order in and ring me up. Even at the attempts to be friendly with her, she is still rude as always. I would understand if it was just a few instances and that might be justifiable if lady's had a bad day, but every time over the course of the few years that I've visited the location? Unacceptable!
Upon reading the reviews I noticed that I am not the only customer that finds that one particular cashier's behavior repulsive. Management must non existent to be tolerable of such PR

  6. I'm not sure if it was just a one/two-time thing or all the time, but this location of Starbucks was packed.  The line is long, but it doesn't take as long as you would expect.

I don't usually review Starbucks, but I definitely noticed the lack of customer service at this location.  Cashiers arguing with each other, people throwing things around, and cashiers giving dirty looks to customers.  This didn't happen directly to me, but while waiting in line, I was observing these things happen.  Perhaps this isn't always the case, but for my experience, the vibe I caught was not so great.  But let's be real, these baristas are standing on their feet all day catering to these long lines so I'll cut them some slack for being humans.  That doesn't mean they shouldn't be respectful towards people, though.

My green tea lemonade (half sweet is perfect) was made to order and was refreshing as I would have expected.

  7. You walk into a Starbucks expecting the same service you'd expect from any other coffee shop. The occasional long line, missing pastries, even a sassy barista. On a lucky day, maybe the barista has a cute butt you can stare at. *Cough Cough* Union Square Starbucks. *Cough Cough* Sunday Afternoon.

And then some days you walk into this Starbucks.

This place is notorious for it's perpetual long lines. But that's no biggie, I walked in knowing that. The line itself shouldn't take any more than 10 minutes. The wait for the drink however.

Actually, let me back it up (kind of how I wish that barista at Union Square would back that ass up onto me). It's a Thursday evening & they run out of Venti cups. I didn't really care but instead of offering me a venti sized drink in a larger cup, they just offered me a trenta. Actually, it wasn't even an offer, the cashier just wrote my drink on the trenta cup, deciding for me that I was going to drink 30oz of Starbucks goodness. Whatever, I'm a man, I'll live. But I'm waiting for the day they push that onto someone who does give a crap.

Anywho, so far, so kinda good. I place my order at 5:30. Take a wild guess when I got my drink! 5:40? 5:45? No! I got my drink at 6:00. Yup, I waited half an hour for my drink to go to a lab class (that starts at 6:00 by the way) that doesn't allow drinks. So, I'm late for a class & I don't even get to enjoy my drink. Well, I did, but the professor doesn't have to know that. The reason for this being, this location is severely understaffed during rush hour. There was only one worker manning the drinks station & obesity wasn't exactly a stranger to her. Tired? That's just dandy. You know what else is dandy? Doing your job. Why don't we all just start taking our sweet ass time doing our jobs?

        Good drink though.

  8. Very slow service.  There is always a line here that moves at a snails pace.  I could hardly understand what the person at the register was saying.

Dropped a star due to lack of ingredients to make certain drinks.
