One red bean donut topped with sugar at $1.35 was good. With a good friend we curated browsing throughout their baked goods counter, there were not many options for an Asian bakery. No Guk6 Caa1 Siu1 Baau1 (baked roast pork bun), no green tea in any shape or form of baked buns or sweets. Staff are unable to converse in any form of Chinese (either Cantonese or Mandarin) proven the server did not respond to my request in Chinese but in English. I was also hoping for some red bean rice cakes. There are minimal cakes, Asian sweet delights or cookies which is not seemingly prosperous for options to patrons.
This business serves as a bakery and Chinese restaurant. It lies in the outer banks of Flushing.
This is one of my favorite places to get coffee. Their coffee is on the stronger side with no weird sour aftertaste I get from other Chinese bakeries. I get my coffee with black, no sugar, so there's no way to fake it to me! They have buns, pastries, bread, even lunch specials cooked to order. There's always someone to help with my order and they're attentive. I have no idea who gave this place three $$$ but it is $ at most!
Ladies – the catcaller club unfortunately likes to hang out in the vicinity (read: corner of the block and sometimes are sitting inside the shop) so please be aware.
I'm really glad I was able to find this bakery. It's open so early at 5:30!!! And even at that time, they have a good amount of fresh bread ready for you. There is a small private lot which holds maybe 8 cars? and parking around this bakery is hard. The prices here are similar to the other chinese bakeries around Flushing. For a quick breakfast before 7am, this place is worth a shot!
