This is my local red Mango. I come here often with my Daughter and her best friend after I pick them up. The store is clean and service is always friendly. Plenty of flavors and toppings. There is more competition in the area but it's closest and still my go to for fro-yo.
Maybe it's personal preference, but I just don't get the attraction of these fro- yo joints that are getting popular… I'd much prefer an old-school place w/ hard ice cream any day of the week (like Gabriella's in Chatham, Cliff's in Ledgewood, Nastos in the Ironbound, or the Denville Dairy)…. for soft, I prefer Dairy Queen. My GF likes Red Mango, but I agree with Mark V and think the yoghurt tastes weird and a bit artificial. The main thing at Red Mango is the huge assortment of toppings, which to me, is a gimmick… I'd much rather focus on having good ice cream (or fro-yo).
When I think of fro-yo places like these, I think "they probably have at least 20 flavors to choose from" and when I got here I was surprised that there were fewer than that… Nevertheless, the flavors they DID have were great, and the toppings were fresh and appealing so who's complaining? Came here with my sis and nephews and we had a great supper-ruining heap of yogurt goodness.
Nice, authentic tart original flavor (my fave). Soft mochi pieces, ripe strawberries.
Just how much sugar is in this stuff?!
Very nice new Red Mango store has opened next to Bagel Chateau in downtown Millburn. It is spacious, has a decent amount of seating and is self-serve. As always, the yogurt is tangy and delicious and the fresh fruit mix-ins are of high quality.
A welcome addition to Millburn!
