  1. The food is delicious. Above all, Evelyn and her staff exhibit excellent customer service.  I was in here one night and there were so many people grabbing a late night dinner. This is definitely the spot for really good food in East Harlem.

Blondies are moist and delightful, as are the carrot cake sliders. There are so many deserts I want to try but my waistline won't allow it, so one at a time.

I like the steak salad over the chicken salad. The short ribs are yummy. Oh and those sweet potato wedges I am still in awe of this cheesy addition to the wedge. What a pleasant surprise. Even down to the broccoli was delicious.

Yes, i wish it was a little cheaper, but IMO, it is good food and real food which is a rarity in this part of town.

  2. Def. a cute little place tucked away in the spanish harlem but with midtown prices? Yes, I know its fancy, baked with love confections but when I moved up here I expect to pay significantly less! THe cupcake itself was decent.  On the smaller side compared to crumbs and sprinkles and they charge the same amount for their cupcakes.

They also have full lunch and dinner menus if you want to come and eat. Im still new to the area and need to venture and find the bakeries where everyone flocks to.  Overall, OK, but I think if I want to pay $4 for a cupcake, ill get it down near work at Magnolia.

  3. I stumbled across this little place one night when I was doing laundry up the street. I can't even tell you how thrilled I was to find a place like this in my neighborhood. The owner and staff are wonderful. I've tried a few of their sweet treats and finally got around to trying some of the food. It's very convenient if you need dinner in a pinch and don't have time to cook. They have a great selection on the menu and each entree comes with two sides and a free dessert.  My meal was delicious and the portion was pretty substantial so I had lunch for the next day. If you're craving something sweet, I highly recommend their blondies and the salted dulce de leche alfajores! They are so unique and delicious.
