  1. Location: Located within a block of Brooklyn college. The only good coffee shop in the area besides the Egyptian Halal Food Truck on Bedford Ave.  However its always crowded!  Go early before 8 AM otherwise you will end up standing in line for a half hour. Sometimes the line is going out the door.

Coffee: The coffee is like any other starbucks however, something you will find here that you won't find at other places is GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!  I am a stickler for service, thats the make it or break it for me. Baristas are attentive, smiley, and happy.  They are very eager to ensure their guests are happy.  That makes the difference for me and if I have time, I will wait in line to get coffee.

I am not sure what everyone else is talking about because I never experienced rude service here.  The only downside to this place is the line wait times otherwise I'd give it another star.

  2. It's a Starbucks. I'm not particularly a fan of the franchise because I don't drink coffee but I do enjoy their hot chocolate.  It comes in handy on New York mornings and honestly Bank of America gives me cashback to patronize the spot so that helps. This location is not very consistent though and their service tends to be a bit slow.

They put priority on some drinks and not others. I waited like 12 minutes for a simple hot chocolate one morning when I was kind of in a hurry and didn't expect a modest line to be so much a task to get through.  I don't think they manage their personnel tasking well but what do I know? I'm simply a personnel manager.

    Regardless, it's a Starbucks, you've been to one, you've…

  3. When you work in the city, you see Starbucks in many incarnations.  Small stands inside office buildings, larger venues with enough seating to accommodate fifty people or the more common smaller Starbucks with maybe enough room for ten to twelve people.  When you go to any of the outer boroughs, things change a bit.  This Starbucks is located in the site of what was once a diner, so it has ample room for its cashier station, serving area and seating.  On top of all that there are little islands and a shelf of Starbucks products all laid out to tempt you.  In short – there's a lot of room in this place.

With Brooklyn College literally a stone's throw away, it's no surprise a lot of the seating and facilities here are geared towards laptop jockeys who think to bring their power packs with them.  The area I hung out in had a power outlet for almost every other seat.  It was quite surprising and refreshing all at the same time.  The decor keeps the same dark wood tones of most current Starbucks.

The service each time I went to the counter (twice in total) was friendly and fast.  One time I ordered a Chai Latte Dirty and it was made perfectly.  Sometimes certain branches don't balance out the mixture of elements in the drink properly so you wind up with too much or almost non-existent spice flavor.  These guys nailed the balance of the spice and sweetness you'd expect in this drink.  When I bought an oatmeal raisin cookie later, they heated it up nice and quick (asking first, which was nice) and it was delicious.

Lots of kudos to this Starbucks for putting up with folks hanging out for hours on end doing papers, conducting business etc.  You've gained another fan!

  4. Nice coffee shop off Flatbush Ave that seems quite upbeat with friendly service. Stopped in on my way home hanging out at Brooklyn College. My order was the usual iced mocha latte which was just right.

Starbucks is like the only place that makes a consistent beverage for me. My friends dont like SB but thats their opinion all these millenial babies. Lol

The barista was very bubbly and kind. They had a nice soundtrack going on with 80s rock. I would surely come back here if I am ever in the neighborhood again.

  5. Small space with limited seating. Very quiet ambiance for Brooklyn College students. Quick and efficient counter service.

  6. Don't expect fast and excellent service due to the fact that this SB is usually filled with Brooklyn College students. Lines can be long (sometimes out the door) and drink orders can take a little longer than expected. All good though. Everyone, especially me, needs some caffeine in life!

Grab a coffee, have a seat in the seating area, and enjoy there free wifi 🙂

  7. Quite a pleasant visit. My beverage was made to my liking which is rare. I always order the Chai tea latte, extra hot, no water, not foam, with soy milk. I can honestly say that this beverage was hot, just the way I like it.

  8. I only come here because it is close to campus, if it wasn't I wouldn't frequent here. Usually people move like a snail even when it isnt busy. Also there is one employee who works there who I find so annoying to deal with. She's fairly new and is really quiet and I usually have to repeat my order, she's not very friendly either. However they recently renovated it's such a nice store I just wish things moved quicker.
