  1. Came here late on a Friday night after a long day of touristing in NYC. A couple other places had closed kitchens already so we were glad to find they were open for business. Legit beer selection but sadly they were out of my first two choices. The pulled pork nachos were better than expected and were much better than standard bar food. Worth checking out for a beer and some nachos.

  2. Stopped by for Saturday brunch.  The shrimp and grits were excellent (much to my surprise).  $15. Food came out quickly.

A very big room; long bar on the right, plenty of tables on the left.  I sat at the bar.  Maybe 24 beers on tap.  Too many to count.  I had a Captain Lawrence 6th Borough IPA for $8.  Bartender was professional, friendly. I will go back to try more of the menu.

Place was not busy for brunch – about 11:30 on Saturday. I don't recall the background music but it was not loud.

  3. Solid neighborhood spot for grabbing food and drinks with friends while catching a game. Spent the afternoon watching football and Taproom did not disappoint!

Huge selection of beers on tap, specialty ciders etc.. Happy hour Monday-Friday!

As for the atmosphere, I feel like it's a classed up version of Stumble Inn. Better quality food (the mushroom pizza with truffle oil ($16.00) was so delicious) and nicer selection of beverages without the feeling that half of the people you're surrounded by are underage.

  4. I've been here a few times and it has always been a good experience. I came on a Sunday to grab a drink.

The selection here is vast, it may take a while to decide on a drink. I tried the Dogfish Head Fort and loved it, actually reminds me to stop by and get some later on. It's served in a 'Sniffer' so you get the aroma of the raspberries. Just as a warning, it is a little on the strong side, after one I already felt a little buzz! Also recommend Two Brothers Cane & Ebel.

Jake the bartender was super helpful and friendly, go pay him a visit!

  5. You love her, then you gotta give the world to her.

Taproom has a massive amount of selection for beers. To be frank, I dont understand beer at all. Generally I dont like beer, but I wouldnt mind grabbing one to catch up with a few friends.

Taproom's beer menu makes it so easy for to make a decision. One section of the menu, groups beer from different countries. Pick one, and go on your world tour.

I picked a beer from the Germany section, it was light (thats all i can about it). I also got the Yelp check in offer; a beer shot of something… I forgot but I liked that one much better than the one I actually paid for.

Anyways, will definitely be back here again so grab drinks after work.

  6. This place just fails at delivery. Ordered a turkey burger here two nights in a row and both nights they forgot ketchup for the burger. Decided to give them another shot tonight and they failed to provide any dressing for my salad. So if you like plain burgers and undressed salads, order here!

  7. A mixed bag, to be honest. We came at around midnight because Ampersand had stopped serving food, unbeknownst (sp?) to us. This is your typical semi-upscale sports bar — that liminal space between dive and upscale — and isn't a bad place to chill for a couple hours while eating food. The A/C and fans are too powerful, though, and give the place that "over A/Ced" feel. Turn it down until it's July!!!

FOOD: appetizers are great. Bacon brussel spourts, mac and cheese, and wings were superb. Not as superb: the burger and the pizza. Former looked great but really dull taste, and they seem to have a different working definition of "medium rare" than my own. (I want BLOOD, just not too much blood.) Pizza had that spongy taste remniscient of Digorno (sp^2) to be honest. Weird, cause there is a huge PIZZA neon light in the back, so you expect this to be more of a signature dish with a higher floor for quality.

Last, great music, but because it's not a cabaret licensed place, you can't dance. BOO HOO. It was 1 AM, and I felt happy with no outlet to express my euphoria.

Oh, also there were several items no longer offered on the menu: most of the desserts and some appetizer we wanted.

  8. Very extensive craft selection, many taps, but not really anything good. If it wasn't for the Gubna they had that day, I would have had water. Their house lager (free 5oz shot w/ yelp check-in) is terrible, but free.. so it actually tasted not as terrible.. but still pretty bad

TAPROOM BURGER – Perfect medium, decent bun, and WHOA HOUSTON WE HAVE CHEESE!!! The cheese, on this burger, was, phenomenal. Yes. Phenomenal. The menu said 'beer cheese' but it tasted more like truffles. It was amazing. The texture is very unique, creamy but still with a chew to the cheese, and that truffley-beer flavor is dynamite.

TOTS – My burger came w/ tots. Of course, they were delicious, but that is expected; if anything is fried 10x over in oil, it's bound to taste good. Extremely crispy

Service was good yet experienced a long wait time, but it wasn't the bartender's fault.

On this day (6/13/16), they had one bartender working the bar and all the tables in the pub during lunch ~1pm. It wasn't her fault; they need to have a separate person working the tables. They did have bus boys delivering food, but she shouldn't be cleaning tables, picking up glasses and so forth. Management should alleviate this. That poor young lady even forgot to give me my card back b/c she was running around constantly. I wanted a 'quick' lunch, but it took very long: 5-6 min before I GOT A MENU, 10 min before I could even order.. 5min just so I could ASK for my check, another 5-6 min FOR the check. I was there for an 1hr 25min, just to eat a burger, that's insane

Sold on the food and tap variety, but quality of crafts I'm hesitant on as well as the cumbersome service/ management
