Park West Tavern
“The decor is upscale, and there are ample televisions by the bar and a big fireplace in the middle of the place.”
“We both had Hard Apple Cider, and then shared the Braised Short Ribs of Beef in Guiness Stout, and a cheeseburger with a side of fries.”
“Overall a good dish but definitely recommend the Short Ribs dish
Dessert:
we couldn't resist when we saw the cinnamon zeppoles with ricotta.”

We ate at Park West last Wednesday and had a tasty meal, served by two nice servers. Enjoyed their Old Fashioned and a craft brew. Noshed on chicken slider and those amazing steak won tons. Really enjoyed the Greek style grouper and Guiness spare ribs. Would go back!
Cute atmosphere, love the Ridgewood location, but probably won't go back. Went for brunch there nearly a year ago with some folks and it was a less than stellar experience. The servers were very nice, but messed up many of the orders. On top of that, the food came out cold and bland, the bill was pricey and we received no compensation for the multiple missteps. Disappointing since it's such a cute place.
I just finished my meal here and am currently crafting a review from the car, that's the sense of urgency I have to expose this place for their indecency.
I was searching through the brunch menu and decided on the French toast and fried chicken, albeit odd I thought it would work. As I was ordering this, our waiter Maxx said they had French toast and chicken and waffles with chicken, I said I'd choose the waffle option.
Fast forward to delivery and the plate was a mess. I asked for the butter and syrup on the side and my plea was ignored. I was served three small pieces of dried fried chicken served in a messy sauce.
I ate the chicken and left the waffle.
Upon prompt delivery of the bill I noticed my colleague was charged 16 dollars for the French toast and chicken and I was charged 25 for substituting the waffle. A 9 dollar up charge? Outrageous!
When I inquired about the pricing, he said the waffles option was a dinner item and not a brunch one.
Our waiter Maxx should become a magician as he is able to magically make eggo waffles 9 dollars each.
I'll never be back.
back again for casual after work dinner on a beautiful Friday evening. sat outside with bf and enjoyed the warm crab cocktail (so decadent) followed by the tuna tarter which I did not enjoy but nibbled a little then moved on to the bread pudding which was ok. I normally love bread pudding but this one had a lot of nuts which I don't prefer but it was still nice size & tasty. overall this is a good place for dinner, again overpriced spent $130 for a burger, 2 apps, 1 dessert & 3 drinks. One recommendation to management, please get some sugar in the raw, I couldn't enjoy my cappuccino because they don't carry any. (9.11.15:8p)
I feel like this place deserves more than 3 stars. Because honestly, they could have dumped my drink on my head but the French fries were so good so it would cancel out. You have to get them- they are the perfect thickness, crispyness, and oiliness. Maybe the key is to stick with burgers and sandwiches, as my party did, and we were pleased.
It's definitely one of the more upscale-feeling places in downtown Ridgewood. The service was a little spotty and would've been annoying if it was just two hungry people. Weeknight dinner saw a lot of white hair- don't let that deter you, with age comes wisdom (about those fries!)
Recently came here with my gals for a quick lunch that didn't turn out to be so quick. The two of the got there before I did and ordered the pumpkin humus for an appitzer, glass of wine and coffee. Then I got there and had to try their loaded bloody and the vegetable frittata.
First off the Bloody Mary wasn't the worst I've had but didn't hold up to my standards. It was a little watery for my liking and the celery they used was wilting. Can you afford a fresh piece please??!!
The girls had almost finished their lunch before I even got mine. I ordered the veggie frittata but a veggie burger came out instead. It was imediately taken away but waited another 5 minutes before the waiter came over to apologize and put the right order in. All in all I got what I ordered and enjoyed it but it was nothing to write home about.
As for the pricing…$16 for one glass of wine? Your name is the Park West Tavern not the wine château!!!!
The beau and I came here for our first dinner of the new year and we had a really pleasant experience. The restaurant is spacious and has a warm atmosphere complete with a lovely fireplace. The drink menu is plentiful and we settled on a Christmas ale for him and the Park Royale cocktail for me. The cocktail was delicious and the perfect new year drink. The food menu looked great but we actually ended up going with the specials being featured that night. I had the red snapper and he had the flat iron steak. Both were equally delicious. We finished our drinks and wanted more but our server was a little slow in checking on us so that took a while but the server was very friendly and informative about the menu. We also had some desserts that were delicious. I went with a cheese plate and was super excited about their variety of cheeses. Overall we had a nice time and I am sure that we will back next time we are in town!
Came here on Saturday night for dinner with 4 other people. We had a reservation and were seated right away when we arrived. It seemed like a lot of people were at the bar but also plenty of diners. We ordered the Sauvignon Blanc that was on their $25 wine menu and it was actually really good. The waiter didn't really portion correctly when pouring the wine so left one person in the group with significantly less than everyone else. He was apologetic and actually brought over an additional glass of wine for her, which was very nice of him. I ordered the Lobster Mac n Cheese and it was pretty good and the wild mushrooms was tasty as well. Nothing was particularly spectacular but what can you expect? It's pretty much fancy bar food.
