  1. I really like this place. I've tried different beers all have been pretty good. The service is always friendly and welcoming.  I will definitely keep going here and trying all their different beers and delicious food.
They have happy hour Mon-Thurs is buy one get one. On Fridays they have a different deal with larger beers ( still a really good deal)

The Buffalo Chicken Pizza is my favorite thing to eat.

Go for Happy Hour and try it out 🙂

  2. This place is a favorite for drinks with friends in the Belmont area.  Always have a great array of five NY beers to try and the prices aren't bad for the area. If you go during their happy hours, the prices are even better.    It's also a pretty cool location, being that it is in the center of the Arthur Ave Italian Market.  You can find people here at all hours of the day watching sports, taking a load off after shopping around, or enjoying the activities they offer at night (karaoke, trivia, and live music nights to name a few).

The only cons to the place are the service and their new happy hour token system.  The staff is friendly, but not very knowledgeable or attentive. I can't even count the amount of times they've brought the wrong beer or forgot to bring me something I asked for.  For the happy hours, they've instituted a free drink token. I always manage to leave with a drink token and every time i try and use it, i am turned down.  The staff says it's only good for a free drink during happy hour, but I'm honestly not even sure if they know how the system works.  It would be better if they went back to the half-priced drink options…

Overall, a great joint for burgers, beers, and bustling atmosphere with friends.  Just don't expect stellar service or to understand why you'll begin to accumulate a small collection of useless wooden drink tokens.

  3. I like the Bronx Beer Hall. I only wish that I had have still been at Fordham when it opened. It's got a great atmosphere in the middle of the Arthur Avenue Market. So, when the market closes, the beer hall remains open and you're in a dark, creepy empty market. There's something ghostly fascinating about it.

They serve craft beers with a handful on tap and others in bottles. I attended a catered event so I'm not sure if the food was from them but it was very, very good.

They also host really fun events, such as trivia night!

Brotip: The bathroom is located in the back and up a few stairs. It does get dark back there when the rest of the market closes. Watch your step!

  4. went to the bronx beer hall, really cute place. waiter did a great job serving us. the pumpkin beer and apple cider were really good, would suggest getting those if you stop in.

also just a cool atmosphere since you're in the middle of a market where there's fresh meat, vegetables, cigars. little shops surrounding you. really fun time – would recommend it!

  5. Weirdly located, but worth the discovery. Only had 5 beers on tap, but they were all so very good. Had a great time chatting with the bartender. They'll order you food from the deli or pizza place in the market. I highly recommend trying this place out

  6. This is a mid-sized eating/drinking space inside a large Retail Market with various vendors. The beer hall features local brews, and all of the beers we tried were great. Also, this happened to be the day when American Pharaoh won the triple crown, so we were able to watch the race in the hall. This plus the market has the feeling of a neighborhood with a lot of locals compared to much of NY where so many people are in transit, and that was also an added bonus.

  7. Walk in past the cigar maker, the deli and meat counters, and head right to the big bar smack dab in the middle of this place.

Take a seat at a bar stool and drink some cold local NY brews served up in mason jars. ABC Beer Co, Ommegang, Bronx Brewery, Gun Hill and others. Try a flight served up in mini mason jars and have a taste of four different brews. They even have growlers if you want to take some home and get buzzed on your couch.

If you need some eats they serve up a small menu of bar snacks, sandwiches from Mike's Deli, and pizzas from Cafe Al Mercato which are located in the market. Fresh, tasty, and at a good price.

In the Retail Market it's a cool spot to drink giant mason jars full of beer during happy hour in Da Bronx. Listening to 80's hip hop and dance music. It's like a time warp in here. Cool and casual with a nice staff to boot. Get sloppy drunk and hit up a few local pastry joints when you have the munchies.

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

  8. Sooooo….I don't drink beer but I still love this place because the staff is so friendly and they are so welcoming to cyclists. I've been here probably a dozen times over the past couple years and have never had a bad experience. I often meet friends here (they all get beer!) and we enjoy the food off the menu or bring our own food in, especially on Sundays (vegan pizza across the street!). I heard they do movie nights, which I definitely need to check out.
