This place is alright. It definitely could and should be better!
Clyde does come a lot and I did have the opportunity to meet him.
They have basketball courts in the back and there are often A LOT of children running around because of this so beware!! Don't walk around with a drink in the bar area you may end up with it on your shirt!
The drinks aren't stellar so I would stick with a beer.
Last time I ordered A mixed drink it tasted like rubbing alcohol.
This place was amazing! I have dined here a few times with groups and with my fiancé I was pleased every time. Service is amazing staff is attentive and friendly and food is always delicious and fresh. Wait times were short and if you are into basketball feel free to shoot some hoops while u wait! I would absolutely return again. Atmosphere is great for date night and birthday dinners. Also family friendly !
Very spacious and well designed restaurant with a small basketball court. Came here around 7:45PM on a Monday night and it wasn't packed at all. We had a nice server.
I had the mixed wings, small Mac and cheese(TASTELESS) to eat, Riesling and watermelon martini to drink. My friends has a few drinks along with the Mac and cheese, and the lobster which they enjoyed.
The MAC AND CHEESE WAS TASTELESS/BLAND. Not worth getting!!!
Interesting….It's supposed to be a high-end sports bar I think.
The location is a bit off the beaten path. Not quite sure who the audience is meant to be. Honey and I stumbled across it while hanging further north by a few blocks for dinner and deciding to stop someplace for a few drinks.
The have an area where you can shoot hoops. Nice touch. Is that for kids (but it's more of a bar) or are people expected to shoot hoops in the middle of an outing? And it's a bit more upscale, but I should come prepared with my sneakers to shoot hoops? I'm unclear. No really, I think there's an identity crisis happening. They also seem to close fairly early for a bar adding to my confusion about what type of place it is. This is New York City, isn't there an unwritten rule that all bars stay open to the wee hours of morning? There has to be some rugby being played in Australia now-right?
On a good note, there is definitely no shortage of televisions here. So it's definitely not one of those sports bars that you go to featuring a medley of suspect TVs.
I remember their bar offering to be pretty extensive and it looks like they serve food.
Hmmm, would I recommend it….well depends on what you're into. If you have always loved Clyde Frazier and live and breathe sports it could be worth it but for others (who don't live in the immediate vicinity) this could be a stretch.
I come here often for happy hour. The bartenders are very nice and always take good care of you. This place has a basketball court inside – fun to shoot a few hoops in-between drinking.
I wish they would switch up their happy hour deals more often. I know its NYC but $8 isn't that great of a deal.
I tried a few food items – the Mushroom Pizza is a must try! I'm usually a red sauce pizza kind of gal, but this one was delish! I enjoyed the chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks too. I would get them again. I don't however like the $17 price tag for the Guac. They make it right in front of you so I see them using only two avocados…crazy price.
All in all I like this place and will continue to come here.
Worst food I've had in awhile in NYC. We ordered the wings, and they tasted something similar to what you would order at a chain restaurant like TGIFriday's. Got our burgers and the same thing…so disappointing. Service was inattentive and we had to flag the waiter down multiple times. For the prices, I expected more than substandard food.
Monday evening here is really nice. Not really crowded, intimate and staff was very attentive- I should've gotten our hosts name. He wore glasses, short curly hair and was wearing a gray t-shirt and black pants (6/6/16).. I hope someone there sees this review to let him know he is the best. The scenery is fun and a nice night out minus spending super $$$
This is my 3rd and best time here. My drink was a tequila mix of goodness. The yellow spicy mustard that came w/ the pretzel was good. My friend raved over their salmon dish. I had the buffalo shrimp – that's what I came for. Huge shrimp in buffalo sauce w/ blue cheese dip; the perfect seafood take on buffalo chicken for those who don't eat chicken, like me.
Now… that Mac and Cheese, no. That recipe has to be reconsidered and revamped. It's too basic- like 'Velveeta in the box' basic. If not, then it should be specified on the menu (and on the menus of places that make M&C this way) that this is not Southern or Soul Food styled M&C. I don't know what that would sound like but when I see pictures of Mac and Cheese in a caste iron pan, my thought is that chunks of cheeses are baked in and not noodles mixed with cheese sauce cooked on the stove top.
I'll go again as everything else was so good. Plus there is more to try here.
LETS GO KNICKS! Frazzle dazzle.. this place is hustling and bustling… ok seriously haha all his sayings.. but this is a cool spot to check out a Knick game or any other game in general.. the prices can be a bit pricey or so. i came to watch a game with my boys on a friends birthday and John Starks was present and gave free prizes and gifts. they have a half court where you can shoot some hoops in between which is nice in between.. its a very themed sports bar..
The staff is very awesome i came after CCW convention and the staff passed out food and drinks throughout the night where they were SUPER friendly and nice.. i must say that about that spot.. nice place
