  1. Having walked past this spot several times but tried it, my wife and I decided to give it a shot.

The restaurant was not particularly busy when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Both the host and our waitress were very friendly and hospitable.

The menu is simple and everything sounds very tempting. I ordered the fish tacos and my wife ordered the roast chicken.

The chicken was really good! My wife would not stop raving about it. The fish tacos were good, but I think they definitely need more fish. I was disappointed that they had just 1 little piece of fish inside, particularly since the dish is priced at $16.

We stuck to several glasses of beer and wine, but the cocktail menu seemed pretty interesting as well.

Overall, a pretty good find, priced appropriately for the location(except the tacos!!) with extremely friendly and attentive service. Check it out!

  2. Stopped by for happy hour on a Friday night with 2 of my friends. It wasn't too busy at that time (a little before 6pm), but the crowd picked up around 7.

The atmosphere of the place was great. I really liked it. It's spacier inside than I imagined it to be.

Bar: super nice bartender and staff. They have a good selection of drinks. Only 4 beers on draft though (which for a beer lover, like me, was a whomp whomp). But other than that they had different selection of bottled beer, wine and cocktails. My friend got the rum punch which she said was good. My other friend ordered Coke and grenadine, but they didn't have grenadine so the bartender poured the marichino cherry juice in. "A" for effort and he said it tasted good!

Food: we ordered the black kale and artichoke dip and the thriced- fried French fries (that's not what it's called exactly). Those were okay. The dipping sauce for the fries were yummy! The dip was good but nothing out of the park. But we still killed it both.

2 drinks and 2 dishes came out to be (with tip): $40.

I'll definitely stop by again and check out the dinner menu along with the upstairs area 🙂

  3. Great brunch place. We didn't have a reservation but they seated us anyways at prime Saturday brunch hour. It was one of the cute two person tables on the side with its own coat hooks.

The service here was really good. They filled my coffee 3 times without me asking I think. The food was also solid.

    1. Egg frittata: Really good! It's a good portion, and the egg is really tasty. The flavors overall weren't anything revolution, but it's a really well-done frittata.

    2. Waffles: Not bad. It's a very standard waffle. Again, nothing special.

    3. Pickled veggies: Actually really liked freshly pickled veggies. It's in a tiny tiny jar, but they are really good!

    4. Potato side: this was a last minute addition after we saw another table order this. Best decision ever. This was my favorite item. Small roasted potato with this slightly sweet glazed sauce on the outside. The texture was pretty unique. Loved it!

  4. FARM EGG WAFFLE SANDWICH. Don't order anything else, don't try and get fancy and try to add on. Just order the sandwich. It has the salty/ sweet concept going for it, and it really is quite delicious. Granted our food took an hour, the deliciousness of it definitely made of for. ENJOY!

  5. Ideal NYC spot!

Went here for dinner with my boyfriend and was so impressed with this restaurant.  It is the perfect place to take a date or enjoy happy hour with friends. The warm, cozy ambiance gives the rustic decor a romantic feel that makes you want to stay for hours, sipping on a Guapo Sour (a signature drink you MUST try).

Come hungry, because you'll want to order several plates from the irresistible appetizers/small bites list. The Polenta Balls are a MUST: crispy polenta fried into delectable bites above a mushroom ragu with a dollop of whipped pecorino (cheese in a whipped cream texture? GENIUS!!)  These were so good, my boyfriend and I ordered another once we finished the first plate! The beef in the Spicy Beef Lettuce Cups is cooked to a tender, juicy perfection.  Wrap it in the lettuce, add some sauce, and you have a crispy and refreshing, yet hearty bite.

I have tried burrata all over NYC and have to say this was the best.  Paired with roasted figs and pumpkin seeds, the creamy burrata fills your mouth with sweet and tangy heaven.

They have a wide variety of dinner selections from seafood plates to meat-lovers plates, and I can't wait to try some more. Overall, a hidden gem among the overly-commercial local spots in the area.  Make sure you give this place a try and I am sure you'll be heading back!

  6. We had a team dinner here to welcome our colleague from London but everything had been set up in a really casual way – ordered a couple of small dishes to share.

Among the dishes, my favorite was for sure the pork drum stick, which was flavorful. The fish taco was a little bit too sour hence mediocre. Chips were too crispy to dip into the sauce. Didn't eat much of the mac n cheese, so no comments on that.

Overall ambience was relaxing. Price was at the high end, given the amount of food provided.

  7. We had Sunday brunch here around noon (brunch is from 11:30 am through 4:00 pm). The place is rather small so we recommend reservations, especially if you have a large group.

I had a spicy Bloody Mary to start. It was tasty! For brunch, I had the egg, bacon and waffle sandwich. It was one of the best brunch dishes I every had, and I highly recommend it!! It was a nice blend of savory and sweet. The bacon was well done, and it mixed well with the maple syrup. The entree was large and filling. My partner had the crab benedict, and said it was delicious. The potatoes were especially good–they use the baby potatoes and were smashed and roasted.

The place gets busy, and got a little loud towards the end of our meal. The ambience was nice… I would definitely come back! I saw that the macaroni and cheese is worth checking out.

  8. I was there last night for happy hour. I had a good time. The atmosphere/decor was sleek and neat – just the way I like it. Very modernized and upscale for a sports bar. I got a glimpse of the upstairs area when we first arrived and it looked very nice – big windowed area with a good sized bar as well, which would be perfect for private parties, but we didn't stay upstairs since we got there too early and it was empty.

As per the pic, the front is fully open on warm days, and yesterday was one of them. I was dying of heat then I first walked in, but as the evening settled in, it got a lot better. The place is very clean and most waitstaff/bartenders were courteous, but I think they could be a bit more attentive and friendlier.

I didn't get to try any food – shucks! I've heard great things about their food – at the top of my list is their famous charred brussel sprouts. It was very busy at around 7:30pm and I was starving.. had no strength to wave down a waiter. Better luck next time! I also think they were short staffed last night, as service seemed somewhat spotty.
