Those were some good azz flapjacks!!The chicken and waffles are my favorite! But for now the breakfast delux platter is gonna hit the spot.
IHOP is a must go when you are in 14th St. However, this time, the tap water tasted horrible, the fries were over heated in a microwave for sure. They tasted old and not fresh.
Overall, our waitress named Veronica was friendly and helpful. The other good things were the sundae ice creams we ordered for dessert. Maybe because it was a week day and it wasn't crowded they didn't care to make fresh food because in general we always order pretty much the same and always taste good and you can tell is fresh.
I'm giving them 3 stars for all that I mentioned above plus the booth table area that we sat smelled like crap. Look like they didn't clean the carpet or someone threw up and they didn't clean it. We looked around to see where was the smell coming from, but we couldn't find anything. Many people around also noticed it for sure. No one said anything. I hope they cleaned it or found what it was the rotten and vomit smell near the register.
What can I say that other people haven't? the service is slow, and the server gave my friends cold coffee yuck! To me the food is mediocre here, as if the pancakes tastes like it's watered down and it shouldn't be that why. I do have to say that its a good thing this Ihop location is 24hrs that's a couple points up, but the service has to be worked on and food preparation…there has been many times where I've received my meal cold. I think I'm being too generous by leaving 3 stars, but hey it is 24hrs
It was my anniversary belonging to the IHOP fan club. They sent me an email for free pancakes. Be advised if you go to this location they now check your ID. I don't mind, but did not want to take the chance of having my identity stolen. The manager understood and looked at my drivers license at the table where I could see what she was taking down.
I'm going to have to make a decision if I'll take advantage of this offer in the future. Plus on my birthday too I get the same offer! I'm not sure it is worth the risk of having my identity stolen. This is a generous gift from IHOP. Maybe they need to consider making it $5.00 off, or a pot of coffee with your meal. Maybe free desert or something less costly. It's unfortunate that people try to get over on them and ruin it for the honest people like me!
Well enough of that! The pancakes were awesome. I had the pot of coffee which hit the spot! My service was top notch from Jasmin! She was very patient and understanding. They have an A in the window and the bathroom was clean!
I'll be back as soon as I can. The Harvest Grain and Nut Pancakes are the best.
I do not believe this is a real IHOP. IHOP needs to send their undercover boss to see what the heck is going on in this place. I have been to ihop in 4 out of the 5 boroughs. I've been to ihop in Florida and north carolina. I order the same thing every time I go, garden veggie omelet with pancakes and it is always fresh and full of fresh vegetables and delicious from state to state, I dont know what happened to this location. Maybe it is so new they r using different recipes or the cooks are doing their own thing. Chef Ramsay needs to stop in here and revamp and check that the food is going out fresh. Totally shocked and disappointed with this ihop food. I gave 2 stars because the host, manager and waitress jasmine were all professional.
I love me some Ihop!… I came here with the Hubby for some lunch but we both ordered breakfast. The wait wasn't too long because it was an early Friday afternoon. The waitress was super attentive, she gave menus, she asked for drinks, asked how we were doing – i.e. she was working hard for the money!. I had the country fried steak with eggs, hash, and two pancakes. It was DELICIOUS and sooo much food, I couldn't even finish it – I had to surrender my pancakes to my husband.
This was actually our first time here at this location where we could actually get a table and it wasn't that bad. The place was clean, the service was prompt, the food was a reasonable amount of time and most of all the food was good! … Only downsides to my visit was the fact that they were trying to freeze us too death pumping all that cold air. It was sunny outside but it definitely wasn't hot so all that A.C. wasn't necessary. Also when we were seated they just, like 2 seconds ago cleaned the table because it was still wet to the point that the bottom part of my menu was literally stuck to the table.
Other than that, the service (watress and hostess) were friendly and attentive and the meal was hot, good, and reasonably priced. I'll defnintely be back…. If I can get a table ofcourse!
Came with a groupon coupon: $12 for $20 food. Staffs were nice and helpful, but the food was not.
Do not believe the pictures on the menu (I know this is common sense, but this place is worse). I ordered a Waffle and Chicken, and Harvest Grain'N Nuts pancake (4 pieces). Both are $10.99, I believe. The menu pic shows I would get chicken wings with waffles, but in reality, only 4 tiny pieces of chicken fingers that were dry, salty, and not tender at all. The pancakes were thinner than what's shown in the pic, and were very dry, too.
Only the waffles tasted good, soft and moister than the pancakes. The overall portions were really small. If I had paid the original price, I would be really pissed off.
So what if I eat at a chain restaurant in NYC
I absolutely LOVE this place after drinking all night. Plus, the after hour (midnight and onwards) characters (including myself) that hangout there are a HOOT.
The service here is top notch and they are very accommodating with special requests, like heated syrup. It is weird that the NYC locations do not provide heated syrup without a formal request but I digress. For the most part, the restaurant and restrooms are clean.
The only thing that bugs me about this location is that they do not make waffles after 10pm. I mean sometimes you want to "treat yo'self" to a nice waffle loaded with strawberry syrup.
