Little Town Social
“It definitely draws in a different crowd than Pourhouse did.”
“We both ordered the social burger which we both thought was incredible, the burger was Cooked exactly to our liking and the flavors were amazing also, the salt and vinegar fries were great as well.”
“It went from a typical sports bar where you would watch sports and grab a beer and eating greasy american food to a place where you would bring a girl on a date.”

This is the revamped and more formal version of the old Village Pourhouse. It's been given a face lift, and while visually it's a lot better, it's also definitely gotten less casual.
I have a buddy who lives a walk away, and he used to go to the Pourhouse often for a quick drink. With its new upgrades, he said he does't feel he can do that as easily since it's definitely a more formal spot.
The entire back area was redone, and is a swanky sitting lounge with tables, candles, and tufted leather seating arrangements. The bar is still nice, and they've opened huge gaps in what was the front wall for an airy view of the street.
The beers on tap were nice. The service wasn't anything special – it took about 20 minutes for the bartender to give me my card back, and we were the only three people there. I like how the place looks, but I'm not sure making it swanky was the way it should've gone, especially considering what the Pourhouse's old patrons may want to expect.
This "new" bar is The Village Pourhouse with subway tile and a cleaner bathroom.
We came on a Saturday for lunch just to try as were in the neighborhood. I loved Little Town when it was on the waterfront but this is not the same at all. An actually pretty small menu comparatively. We started with Totchos, which was the highlight of the meal. Tater Tot nachos, they were pretty good.
I ordered a burger, it was Ok, nothing to write home about, but the fries were outstanding. The wife got a grilled chicken sandwich which she said was almost inedible, she ate half. She described it as an old piece of chicken with too much pepper on it.
The clientele is the same as Pour House, not sure they wanted that to change. There was one employee maybe a manager who reminded me of a guy from Bar Rescue you see who was flirting with girls asking if they wanted to get wasted and do shots with him. I kept waiting for John Taffer to walk in. On top of yelling that this was a "great song" and other annoyances. Maybe on a Friday night but in a dead bar on a Saturday afternoon. meh chill out brah. The place was pretty empty and all the service staff was in a corner of the bar talking, laughing and eating. Which doesn't provide great ambiance.
Overall, it's still a bro bar with some average food. I've done my time there and I think I'll skip it.
Recently came here on Saturday during a Penn State football game. UGHH!! When my friend suggested to meet here, we had no idea it was a "Penn State" bar, also no idea there was a game going on. But never the less we grabbed two beers at the bar and waited for a table to open up. Plenty of TVs to watch any game that is on. We actually didn't wait long and snagged one right next to the bar (convenient). We were quite a large party so we got a cooler of Coors Lite which was pretty awesome. Knowing we would be hungry, we started off with 2 orders of wings and tachos. The chipotle bbq and sriracha honey wings were really good but the tachos are now my favorite drinking food. Who would have thought tots, cheese and jalapenos would work out so well!! Someone in our group also had a burger and said it was pretty tasty as well. Not bad for a very, VERY busy Saturday night, I'm a little impressed.
Went 2 or 3 times to the bar only, so don't know anything about their food.
Ordered a drink, opened a tab, gave a credit card and then get hit with 'Oh sir, we need to hold on to an ID' Really?? You're worried about people walking off on you (on a Tuesday!)? If you're so worried about having scumbag patrons then you can't charge so much for your drinks, its one or the other. If green rock doesn't have to hold IDs you don't have to hold IDs. It's one of those things that shouldn't be a big deal but really bother me. They do it as a matter of course here because it happened every time I went in.
So the bartenders are a mixed bag, had a girl who clearly hated her job and didn't get a damn but there's also the old Hobson's bartender who is quite good.
Mixed drinks are on the small side but not outside of 'industry standard'.
Clientele is still the same as the pourhouse, i.e. younger so don't expect a classy cocktail bar.
Not the worst place in the world but meh nails it.
