Victory Grill
“Both fortunately and unfortunately, we had just missed a flight and were ready to settle in for a nice meal.”
“The pork sliders were delicious – the pork were moist & flavorful and I remember a good texture profile (i.e. some kind of slaw).”

This place is pretty much a travesty. The prices are outrageous(no surprise, it is the airport) But this isn't even in the same realm of reasonable. I had the pork sliders, comes with two, and they had too much pickled slaw. Just a dissapointment. I will say the servers were hot, but they seemed to care about 2 percent on service, the rest on how hot they look. And for that alone they deserve that one star. Stay sexy victory grill.
Let's be clear that this is not the worst meal I've had, but pretty close to it. I was grateful for having a sit down place at the airport (away from all the people), which was why I chose to try the food. The ambience is indeed nice in that mostly business people there so it's somewhat quiet. I had my laptop out and was working, but they didn't seem to mind and nobody made me feel that I had to rush out.
Food-wise, it's definitely not worth the $. I ordered the taco shrimp salad and was disappointed to find that the salad was withered and not fresh. The grilled shrimp was burnt and way too salty.
If I'm in the same terminal again, I don't think I will eat there again. Honestly, the food court just outside has better food options and the seating arrangement is not so bad.
Didn't experience any inconvenience in terms of service, but sat at the bar, so perhaps doesn't apply. Told the bartender I needed to be out in 30 minutes and had no issues with service.
Food is mediocre
Tuna tartar was very bland and left an unsettling feeling in my stomach, like maybe I shouldn't have eaten it. That said, with enough spicy mayo, anything can taste good.
Kale with chili flake is just sautéed kale with no evidence of chili. They should really use baby kale here, not the tough kale leaves that are hard to chew.
Ahi grilled tuna is also just ok. I had no trouble finishing it, but certainly doesn't blow your socks off. Well, the $30 price does I suppose.
I am not sure I'd come back here again. There are plenty of airport restaurants that provide a high quality offering, but this is just standard run of the mill fare that's not worth an $80 check for an app, entree and glass of wine
I have mixed opinions about Victory Grill, which is located in Terminal C at LGA. It is the only restaurant in LGA without an iPad ordering process, which makes for a much friendlier dining experience. In terms of food, I liked the side of brussel sprouts (glazed with maple and pepper), but the Yellowfin Tuna was absolutely disastrous.
The tuna came with a choice of side, and I opted for the Brussel Sprouts. These were huge, halved brussel sprouts tossed in maple sauce and pepper – perfectly decadent and savory! The Yellowfin Tuna was seared rare atop organic squash puree and cous cous. The description and the presentation of the dish was 100 percent more appealing than the actual meal itself. The piece of tuna I got was super jerky, coarse, and full of tendons that I could not cut it with a knife at all. The cous cous was all stuck together and the puree was not creamy or smooth, but rather dry. I would absolutely avoid this entree if possible.
