Whats not to love about this place?
Pros:
1. Elegant and sophisticated seating area.
2. Great beers to choose from.
3. Excellent wings! I had the buffalo and the Thai chili. The Thai wings were good but not really exemplary. The buffalo wings however were among the best I've ever had.
4. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
Cons:
None that I can think of.
You know its gotta be 5 stars when you wouldn't change a thing!
I'm excited for a bar/pub to finally open in Englewood! We sampled a bunch of items in the bar area and overall the food was hit or miss.
The mushroom truffled flat bread was delicious and had a generous amount of mushroom.
The grilled fish taco (comes with two, but we order a third for the three of us) also had a generous helping of fish and other accompaniments that had great flavor. The downfall was that the weight was too much to bear on the one layer taco causing us to eat with a fork and knife, but still worth ordering.
The crab cakes were incredibly dry. I mentioned this to the server later and the manager came over and generously took it off our bill, which was unnecessary but much appreciated that she took the time and effort to check in on us!
The mussels were cooked well, but the sauce (Guinness) had so much potential but unfortunately lacked salt. However the grilled crostini accompanied the sauce nicely with the right amount of salt and garlic. That was the true winner.
The duck and Brie arancinis were terrible. You could neither taste duck nor Brie and also lacked any element of salt.
Great service. The food that were hits were great. Happy they're in the neighborhood and looking forward to dropping in again!
*Bar area review*
Great ambiance and bartenders. Liked the relaxing vibe the whole staff was giving off. Nice beer selection with both Irish and local craft. Guinness pours done with perfection.
Reasonable prices on the beer. Not sure if they run a happy hour on the weekdays. Did not have any food so that will be on my next trip.
This may be the go to local bar/pub Englewood desperately needed.
