Bread Brothers Bagel Cafe
“The joint off Bushwick Ave is worth the price, worth the wait, and is the reliable embodiment of breakfast perfection every.”
“Yes, the ordering system is a little crazy, but that's mostly because the space itself is small and the crowds can feel suffocating.”
“I personally love both the jalapeño and lox cream cheese, and the French toast bagel is reason enough to make the trip.”

I came in to this cafe for bagels around 7 pm because the other bagel stores i was visiting was surprisingly not open!! Anyway, their bagels were mediocre at most, but they do offer a wide variety of cream cheese options. The staff is pretty nice too. However, I wouldn't come back for bagels because there certainly are better options when it comes to bagels in NYC!
Nice bagel place, conveniently located next to the L train off the Montrose Avenue station. The morning team here is good; efficient, fast, and sometimes even fun and joking. I usually get a sausage, egg, and cheese on a bagel, which I asked to have "scooped". They scoop out some of the bread so it's a little less heavy and the filling/cream cheese fits better. I highly recommend it, it's a pro move. I worked in a deli that used to do that too, it definitely enhances the sandwich eating experience. Fresh bagels and a diverse menu is a welcome addition to the neighborhood food scene.
Not being from NYC, I just love the little delis and bagel cafés. My bagel was not really crusty on the outside (for you bagel snobs), but it tasted amazing. Had a special prosciutto, egg, and cheese on a whole wheat sesame. Very good. Not a lot of seating and it's a busy place on Sunday morning, but I found a stool by the door that was excellent for people watching!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT. I flat out did not get my delivery, and they claimed that a 'woman' picked it up for me. After I called up Seamless to get a refund and complain they called me back and yelled at my girlfriend (who had picked up because she was hungry and pissed). -_-
Read the other reviews. They all have the same thing in common – terrible staff and service.
Seriously do not give them your money. Just go to a corner store or Bagel Smith.
Pretentiously overpriced. Most sandwiches are around $8, which is crazy given how basic most of them are.
A yogurt parfait was $4.75.
Bagel with butter was $1.65, which is actually not all that bad when you consider that the bagel was thick and not too hard.
A hipster boy band was in town when I stopped by. Welcome to Bushwick, One Fucking Direction!!
The iced coffee is skippable but our bagels were good and the selection of cream cheeses was nice. The apple cinnamon had actual apple in it, the scallion bacon had bacon (duh) and the sort of savory flavor that would make me content to eat it on a bagel for lunch.
All-in-all, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but it's good if you're in the neighborhood.
We stepped into this cute little place for breakfast on our quest for the perfect apartment. They had some crazy bagel and cream cheese flavors on the menu. My sandwich was delicious as was my iced coffee. Two thumbs up!
Staff is friendly a bit pricey. They have a small salad bar. Big selection of creamcheese spreads. Bagels are always fresh so you can't go wrong. BUT not sure y it takes forever to toast a bagel?!
