There may or may not be a ton of restaurants in this neighborhood of the Bronx, but this one is a true local gem. Plenty of hot Caribbean foods ready to eat. There is plenty of seating for your group, and this place is bustling at lunch time. If you're into an "authentic" experience, definitely go here. It's cheap, and it's good.
I had a cuban sandwich. It was a little skimpy on the pickles, but that was okay. The cheese was gooey, and the meats were delicious. It was a grease bomb gut bucket sandwich, and if you like that type of thing, as I do, you'll love this cuban sandwich. The service is quick and friendly and professional. If you are in the neighborhood, this is a great lunch spot.
