  1. My boyfriend took me to Dazie's fine dining Italian restaurant for a celebratory dinner.  All staff were friendly and attentive and we were seated promptly.  To complement the atmosphere, live piano was playing.  The calamari appetizer was fresh and crispy and not oily.  The accompanying sauce could have been richer.  Bread was delicious.  We both had the seafood linguine.  All fresh seafood was used.  I would have preferred more sauce in the dish, but the menu did specify a light sauce.  I will ask for more sauce next time I visit.  The prices are reasonable for Italian fine dining.  Overall, Dazie's is a nice addition to the Sunnyside dining market.

  2. Dinner was ok but the place was dead.  We did go between 4 and 5 pm but completely dead.  I thought people would start coming in at 430-500 even the older set…. Nothing.  The meal was ok.  No specials just what was on the menu.  A little overpriced and ive had better.

Good things were good service in table clearing and keeping things moving.

Maybe it was this particular day?

  3. Wanted to like this place since I've thought about eating here for years and somehow just got around to it but…

The service is wonderful. Water refilled timely, bread brought, plates cleared, courses brought out spaced well.   Owner stops by to say hello and offered on the house after dinner drinks too.

Food is average, prices are high. We had strachiatella soup, cold antipasto, chicken scarpariello and rigatoni vodka.

House wine was decent at $8 per glass and restaurant is decorated seasonally.

Husband feels that he doesn't need to go back.  So I guess we'll try other old school Italian restaurants instead.

  4. We came here the other night in search for something different in Sunnyside. I heard the piano player and had to check it out.

The drinks were avg. but is it a pretty cool place to have a drink, chat and listen to the music. Maybe I will go to dinner here at some point.

  5. I consider this place a staple Italian restaurant in Sunnyside. Its classy and classic like its out of a movie. Piano bar. Very old world Italian. The food is good and rich. the desserts are great and it has truly passed the test of time. Been in the neighborhood must be since the 60s or something. Great for a date. Great Italian restaurant if you want to save yourself the trip to little Italy.

  6. Great lively place. They apparently have a piano player Friday and Saturday nights, which was cool. Food was great, service was good, and the staff are all exceedingly friendly. Definitely will be back.

  7. I been coming here for years and I'm surprise I have never reviewed. Everything here its really good from the appetizers all the way to dessert.
The restaurant is a little old fashion and the prices are steep for Sunnyside but the quality of the food is worth it.
My favorite dishes here are the spinach salad, chicken martini, chicken francese, Dijon salmon and cheesecake.
Everything on the menu is delicious however the above things are my ultimate favorite.
The service here is excellent and they have a good selection of wine. They also have a room on the side for private parties.
