  1. Great sports bar. They have lots of televisions and great food which are pretty much the two most important things a sports bar needs. The owner and bartenders are super friendly and nice. They'll hook you up if you keep coming back. The out door area is nice during the warmer months and have plenty of televisions there as well. Could get cramped at times but you should be able to find a nice nook. On the downside they don't really have specials and the beer selection could be bigger. Besides that Plan B could easily be your first plan if you want to catch some games.

  2. I've been coming here for football and there is a great vibe. Fans of lots of different teams congregate (Sunday Ticket wooo!), but the vibe is fun and amicable. Come early to get a table… it fills up quick.

The food is hit or miss, which isn't totally unexpected for bar food. It would be cool if they had some football Sunday specials. The servers have always been nice and efficient and can totally handle the crowds.

    Totally check Plan B out!

  3. This bar is a great place to watch a game on Sunday, eat a delicious burger, and make or lose friends with other fans. They have multiple screens for watching different games which is great because the bar is filled with all types of people and has a great atmosphere.

The food is delicious. I had a turkey burger with fantastic shoestring fries and I tried the loaded potato skins/fries which are essentially thick potato wedges smothered in cheddar cheese, bacon bits, scallions, with sides of sour cream and ketchup. Perfect post-hangover, pre-hangover food (God, Sundays are the worst).

The bartenders are chatting, sweet, and very attentive. We did free whiskey shots with one of them. They are on their game and really fun to talk to during the commercials.

Overall, this bar is a great place to hang on Sunday for a game or just to grab a quick bite. I'll have to check them out on other days of the week but I highly recommend it.

  4. We came here to watch NFL games. The bar was crowded and thinned out after the 1PM games ended. Luckily, we got a table.

We ordered the typical football bar food – wings (BBQ, original buffalo and mustard), buffalo chicken sandwich and a grilled vegetable sandwich (drizzled with balsamic vinegar) both with garlic fries.

The food was good. Sandwiches could have been a bit bigger. Both about $9. Wings sample platter about $18. Beers about $6. They could expand their wheat beer selection.

Service was fast and attentive. Very friendly, maybe too friendly after observing two employees shooting car bombs. We counted 4.

One suggestion: how about putting a long bench with tables along the back wall by the back bathroom? More space, and easier to navigate.

The TV picture was excellent, sound was good (not too loud or low) and nice to have the NFL package to watch all games.

Plan B is plan b (which is a good thing).

  5. Well whaddaya know – people actually get excited about football, err I mean soccer (!) here. And the excitement was felt at this fair establishment among the many USA and hidden England supporters (aka me) at the World Cup match on Saturday.

And ironies of ironies, heading over here after being browbeaten by the sun outside the ESPN screen on Dean St. was our Plan B.

I have to admit, with all the crush, the bartenders still managed to get drinks out fast, keep their smiles on and tried not to give preferential treatment to one fan over another. (I mean, how could they when some of them were sporting jerseys labeled Argentina?)

I peeked briefly over a mass of fans into a seemingly cool backyard.

Maybe sometime in the future, I'd like to come here first and not as a, err, Plan B. (I couldn't resist)

  6. If you need a place to go in the prospect heights area that's decent ..here's a place for ya!

Here is a definite place to go when you wanna stay close to home. The drinks are good..you can't really mess up a corona…LOL! The mix drinks are ok.

As far as bar grubage…it's pretty tasty… the garlic parmesan fries…YUM!

It's a lil small,so if you plan on going on super bowl night, world series…etc… u better get there @ 3pm and sit for hours…LOL!

  7. we come here for our wing fix since plan b is in the neighborhood. the wings are ok – not necessarily the best. this definitely has the neighborhood sports bar feel with all the high tables and stools, lots of seating around the bar, and tvs everywhere. i'm not necessarily the "sports bar" type of girl, so i can't really see myself eating here. the food does take a while to come out so we tend to call in our order ahead of time so that it will *more likely* be ready by the time we arrive to pick it up.
