  1. I used to dig this place back in 2011 but I'm bored of it now. With all due respect to the 90s, it is dead and gone already. Yet, for whatever reason, the DJs here insist on playing old school hip-hop for majority of the night. Ugh! Like dude, can we come back to the present even for a few minutes? I was waiting for some turn up music or NEW dancehall/soca music to be played at least once and it didn't happen. I guess it is understandable because the crowd is in mainly their 30s to 40s (from what I see anyway). However, there are twenty-somethings who come to this spot and we like to hear more updated music. I find this happens a lot in many of the lounges around this neighborhood as well as the Clinton Hill/Bed Stuy area btw. Like, no…I don't want to hear Mary J. Blige or Biggie on the dance floor AGAIN. Just because of that Mo's gets three stars revoked lol.

  2. Went to grab drinks with friends on a Saturday night around 9ish.  This was my first time going and had no idea what to expect and I had heard mixed reviews about this place.   There are two sections to this establishment which includes the main bar area and then a back room which has seating and where the DJ spins at.  My cocktail server, Desi, was attentive and was on top of her game.  The DJ was rocking and I had me moving all night.  He was playing some current hip hop and some classic.  He had awesome control of the  crowd and I will definitely be back again for the tunes and drinks.

  3. Love, love Moe's. I have been coming here for years and even came for New Years and had a wonderful time. Great vibe, great drinks, but most important the dj plays great music. From hip hop to reggae you always know you are in for a good time. My only recommendation is to get here before 11pm because the place has a tendency to get very packed.

  4. Nice looking bar neslted right in fort green amongst man others.

A friend recommended we link up and she choose this place. I liked the feel of it. I felt real comfortable in there. And the bar maid was real helpful. Told us we had 30 min left of a special sunday happy hour which surprised us. So back to drinking we went.

I have no complaints about this establishment i will return.

  5. Having not been to Fort Greene in sometime, I decided to walk around the old neighborhood to see what changes have taken place. I walked up Fulton Street and during my walk saw some old timers who lived around the Ft. Greene Place area. They gave me the 411 on how things have changed diversely.

Decided to cross over to S. Portland and ran across several restaurant bars and chose to walk into Mo's as I couldn't resist the lively energy. It was a great choice, as the Nets were in the playoffs, and being shown on the few flat-screens along the back of the bar. On a normal day, I could see that the bar is fairly spacious with high-tops along the opposite side of the bar, with enough space for food orders. But on this particular day, it was a tight squeeze just to get to the middle bar area. Everyone I encountered were pretty friendly, someone actually put in my drink order for me. The atmosphere was pumping with the game and the DJ playing hip hop in the background. During commercials they'd turn the music up and people would start grooving and the game would come back, then they'd concentrate on the game. Sports, plus a dance party? My kinda atmosphere.

The DJ has an actual DJ booth set-up and is located in an upper room towards the back of the restaurant. The walls are lined with album covers and there are comfy chairs and bench seating all around. I ultimately ended up staying back in this room, having my drinks and listening to the music.

I didn't eat so I can't describe the food, but for my time here I enjoyed myself.

  6. When I first started coming here I really loved it. The vibe was right, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was cool.

Now, I really can't say the same. The fact that I have to order outside food is really insane to me. A bar with no food in Brooklyn, like why? I personally don't understand it. Can I get 1 wing?

Anyway, their drinks are also absolutely trash! I literally came from another to restaurant to them, ordered the same drink and almost threw up.

    Definitely not coming here again.

  7. Sat down for 25 minutes and the waitress never even came over to offer me a drink. Talked to the manager about that experience and he seemed less than caring about fixing the problem. When the waitress finally did come over it took her another 10 minutes to bring me a water but the"tables" full of people all around me got wonderful service as she kept coming up the stairs to bring them drinks and offer them more drinks continually.

It's rather unfortunate because the DJ was incredible and the ambiance is also. Just wish the service actually was about serving people

  8. In the area for the ice hockey and went for a wander to find a bar to pass the time pre game and found this gem of a local bar

Great friendly relaxed atmosphere inside with a couple of large tv's showing the sport above the bar. Only poked my head in the next room but it had the walls lined with some retro style Art Deco thing happening

Nice range of local beers on tap and a range of cocktails too. I went with the beer.

Clientele friendly and up for a chat. Has wifi.

Next door is a subway stop on the Q line
