  1. Hands down the BEST nachos in sunnyside.

The wings are pretty good, and they offer a lot of different flavors.

Their famous  Chipotle Chicken Toastie is just a grilled chicken sandwich on sliced bread. Nothing really special.

Delivery is also awesome and they actually listen to special requests like extra sauce

  2. Ive been going to this place since it opened. The staff is excellent and so are the owners. The decor is higher end sports bar with plenty of screens. The recently expanded to the lot next door for a loungy area. Outdoor dining and excellent selection of beers on Draught. Dogs friendly outdoors they're bring some water for your pooch.

  3. I live in the neighborhood and have been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner before. Recently my husband and I came here for dinner with our dog so we sat outside. The weather was very nice. We ordered chicken fajita and turkey burger. Both came out very good especially the fajita. The way they mixed with pepper and onion seemed pretty simple but I guess they let it stay really cook and that made it taste so delicious, the cooked-all-the-way pepper and onions on the grill, cool! I mean hot! sizzling! The turkey burger was all right, I'm not a processed-meat eater but hubby let me try so I could review. The taste was ok, but I would prefer that the turkey not too much compressed. We ordered with salad instead of fries (trying to stop growing). Our dog had fun being with us, as long as she's not alone at home. She was well behaved and looked around at people, curious to know what everyone's eating. Other people from other tables said hi to her and pet her, so she too had fun. Thanks for letting us enjoy our meals with our pet. We sat outside of course and away from the restaurant, so it worked out good. Our server Megan was a terrific waitress, she took care of many tables outside but paid attention to our request. She was nice to our pet too. As I said before, I came to this restaurant before. So far so good.

  4. Always has business, outdoor seating.
I've only been here for the bar, but it's not too bad!
Bartender was nice and funny. He is also a flirt which is definitely fun watching him! There were flies in the shop, I guess just a bad day haha.

A lot of people seem to eat here, so I guess I'd try that out. However, I'd recommend the bar for drinks and such.

TO BE HONEST, other bars seem more poppin and have better decor/services!

  5. There are 43 Bars and Grills in Queens, and this was the last one to open. I've met 43 ex-girlfriends here and 43 ex-boyfriends too. The longest-lasting relationship was 43 days and it was with one of the Yelp NYC CMs. I can't tell you which one, except that he is a he, and is 43 years old, and has been involved with Yelp for 43 months. He's written 43 reviews, and has 43 friends on Yelp. You can figure out the rest yourself, but you only have 43 minutes to do so, before I delete this review.

During the World Cup, I came here to watch the Semi Final between Brazil and Germany. The Second Half of it anyway – by which time the game was already over. It was so packed, that one could barely move inside.

The waitresses were understandably flustered. The drinks were expensive, but by NYC standards, they're normally-priced. I appreciated their clean bathrooms and places to plug my telephone in to charge despite all the commotion. I got a lot of dirty looks from the staff for standing next to the wall and guarding my phone, but I'm okay with that. I was trying not to be in the way, but everyone was in the way on this day so I didn't have much of a choice. They were having a crazy busy match day. They could have used more screens and such because it was hard for everyone to see the games.

After 43 minutes of the 45-minute second half, I left. It took 43 seconds to walk to the car, and 43 hours later, I was back in Buffalo. 43 days afterwards, I made notes of my experience, and 43 months later (or actually 12 months but close enough), I wrote this review. And as for the CM who is my ex: I've cried 43 tears over you today alone. Please come home, Daddy.

  6. If I could have rated 43 a 3.5 I would have, but unfortunately Yelp only does whole numbers. The good: beer selection, friendly service, and abundance of flat-screen TV's. The eh to eh+: the food.

No matter where you sit in 43 Bar & Grill, you will be able to see a beautiful HD TV screen, which is a HUGE plus at a sports bar. I also really appreciated that they have 30 beers on tap and offer some pretty solid drafts (e.g., Lagunitas, Blue Point) for $4 a pint between 5-7pm. As others have indicated, the ambiance is relaxed, modern, and clean. Another plus for sure.

Now, if I only rated 43 on the food, it'd be a 3. Not great, never inventing the wheel, but far far from bad. We started our meal with potato skins, which were the highlight – not overbaked, plenty of bacon bits underneath a melted blanket of cheddar. Nothing new, but who says new means good right? Next the entrees. My Gaelic burger was actually pretty good – juicy patty, well0cooked Irish bacon, plenty of sautéed onions. What lagged were the soggy-ish fries (what can I say, I like at least a 'lil crunch!) and the mayo-y coleslaw. My friend's chicken fajitas were inoffensive, but certainly not a standout, neither in flavor nor in presentation. This to me defines a 3 for food: serviceable, but not memorable.

However, the nice staff, spacious setup, and a nice tap list push my ranking up to a 4. I'll probably be back, but more so because it's in the neighborhood than because I HAVE to go.

  7. When I lived in Sunnyside this was my go-to place. Their burgers are incredibly fresh, you can actually taste the quality of the meat. They have great bar food appetizers that are all scratch and full of flavor. Great place to go watch a game, have dinner with friends, or order delivery. Don't leave without trying one of their burgers and a side of chipotle mayonnaise.

  8. More than a sports bar, Bar 43 serves pretty good food. During a (football, baseball, hockey) game the place packs up pretty fast. This place has multiple screens. This makes it easier to catch up with other teams.

I find the wait staff friendly. They provide quick service.

During Labor Day, this restaurant hosts a free BBQ for the neighborhood. They treat you to hot dogs, hamburgers, with fries or corn.

Talk about food, this place serves  some pretty good salads. I tasted the kitchen sink salad. It comes with goat cheese, spinach, cherry tomatoes, and avocado. Delicious.

During the summer months, bring your dog to Bar 43 and dine outside. The wait staff brings water for your pup.

Located near the 7 train, you can walk down to Queens Boulevard to go shopping. A great place to hang out with your friends. Come and enjoy.
