Pub
We were in the area and we needed some libation – as a native New Yorker, I know that any of the pubs form anywhere in the Brit Empire generally rock; so with a quick scan up and down the street, we saw St. Andrew and popped in for a cocktail and to rest my feet.
The bartender was a doll and she really was helpful when my girl started inquiring about gluten free items- she called right back to the kitchen and got us the info we needed. Probably one of the better potato skin appetizers I've had anywhere.
Drinks were well made and the place is nice and clean.
Give it a shot if around this area.
This place is simple and not bad, through prices could be lower.
Many taps! Irish bar, but I still prefer Belgian beers.
Bartenders were friendly.
Morton's is next door!
If you're looking for an Irish bar featuring Belgian beers and New York sirloin (and who isn't?), well then look no further.
The strange mix of menu offerings, simply put, works. I ordered a house special Irish Gaelic steak drowned in whiskey sauce — terrific. (Paired with a Stella, of course.) Oddly, it was the homemade steak fries that sealed the deal. The fries here are unique, thick and a satisfying addition to any entree. And my daughter called her stuffed chicken breast, glazed in Merlot, one of the better main courses she's enjoyed in a very long time.
Impressed!
My friend and I were in NYC for a conference and our last day we were looking for a place to eat lunch. We stumbled across Eamonn's and overall, we were satisfied. We both ordered the turkey burger and it was delicious and filling. The service was good and we had a good experience.
I'm rating Eamonn's a 2 because they are the only place that makes you pay EXTRA for sharing a dish – $9 extra. Their prices are a little high, but hey, its downtown NYC, but COME ON. A friend and I wanted to share a Chicken Sandwich, but she just ended up ordering it and I sat back with my water. Thank god they didn't charge us $9, cause I snatched some fries off her plate. They were good and he said the sandwich was good too – rosemary bread, yum.
Otherwise, the ambiance, a day after Christmas, was really nice. Quiet, relaxing, just what we needed after crowdsurfing at Rockefeller Plaza. I still would've like to share a meal without being ridiculously charged for it. BOO YOU, Eamonn's.
Came here with a friend for after work drinks and have been here before. Their fish and chips were only OK.. but their service is great. Very attentive and friendly bartenders.
What a fantastic Irish pub and grill, and all within a block from The Roosevelt Hotel from where I stayed. The service was impeccable, and I was very surprised to know that almost everyone who served us were really, authentically Irish!! That was such a treat to hear their Irish accent!! It was so cool. To top that off, their service here was just outstanding. Our waitress gave great recommendation, from appetizer to soup to main course and lastly, to our delicious desserts. I'll let the photos do all the talking because it was simply that good!
When you find yourself in Midtown and looking for a fantastic Irish Bar and Grill, I highly recommend you visit Eamonn. They have great service, love the high-back comfy benches, and they even have a second floor for private parties too! I really enjoyed my meal and my experience here. Thank you so much Eamonn's Bar & Grill for a wonderful time.
PS – really enjoyed their live singer near the bar. It was fantastic!!
Until then, Cheers! ~ :p
The standard eight dollar Mid Town draft prices. A few good draft choices. Good onion soup. House burger was fifteen bucks, but it was good tasting beef.
