this place is atrocious. I'm sorry to say. dingy, dirty looking, its really showing its age. the food itself is inedible. i thought that the 1/2 hour i waited for their food would give me fresh hot fries with a delicious burger. why ask how you like your burger if you're just going to cook the living hell out of it.
i ordered a regular burger with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and jalapeños. nothing crazy.
ordered a vanilla shake with no added syrup (just ice cream and milk) and an order of french fries. the total came in just under $14.00
1/2 an hour later I'm waiting and my food is finally ready. i carry it to my car (right outside) and dig in….
fries were greasy, limp and cold. they had been sitting a while.
burger bun top was absolutely stale, as in, it didn't bend or flop, it was hard. the bottom was stale but since it sitting on stuff it was soggy. the burger itself was inedible. i ate a few bites and really felt cheated. the meat itself wasn't hot and it was so over cooked that it was like a hockey puck.
i would have gone back but i already left and was driving at this point.
the milk shake was good. really no complaints.
fortunately I will never come back here.
Solid place to order a variety of American goodies. I usually get burgers and they are yummy and never to greasy. Good stuff overall, thumbs up!
Okay, this place is perfect walking distance to the shops in town. It's actually in a shopping center that clearly gets crowded. I love burgers so this place caught my eye while I was walking. I noticed that it's missing the S in "Cheeseburger". I had no idea why, but I just ignored it.
I walked in and it looks as though it's owned by Asians…… I completely get it now.
Regardless who it's owned by, it was the cutest place. It reminded you of restaurants back in the day when they had poodle skirts in the 1950's, that type of decor. I love how different it is, not many places has a sense of style in that way. You could order in or leave. I decided to take it and go. The staff was great, and they had a bigger selection than I had assumed they would.
They do staple the receipt to the paper bag they give you, and it made me draw blood when I picked it up, they hadn't stapled it correctly. Just beware.
I did go to to the bathrooms, and they had huge posters of a guy and a girl on it – it was tidy enough to go in, but it smelled terrible – and not because a customer was in it before me. It just felt dirty in there.
Anyway, their Veggie Burger which I had gotten was INCREDIBLE. They have many options for toppings that are basically all free. They have more than just burgers too. So, pick and choose what you'd want to fill your burger with, then enjoy every second of it like I did.
Right before last nights fight and after watching the new avengers movie, I wanted a burger so this was the place I went to kill the craving. The place was not neatly kept and it's a dive burger joint.
The burger was okay as far as taste but everything else was not so good. The bun was heavy and my extra topping was guacamole but there was barely any of it on the burger.
I will not go back three stars for the burger taste itself…
This place is so good!! Love their burgers and onion rings with a variety of dipping sauces!!
I stumbled upon this place by accident while wandering around with a friend. I had heard of the name before and knew they had several locations, but had no idea what to expect. Cheeburger decor-wise is a lot like Johnny Rockets – it is a 1950s style diner. Their appetizers mostly consist of deep fried stuff such as french fries, fried artichoke hearts, fried mushrooms, sweet potato fries, and fried mac n cheese. I tried all of these and thought they were all good. The artichoke hearts were surprisingly good and reminded me of vegetable tempura.
Their main offering is basically just burgers. They come in various sizes, with the largest size being a whopping 20 ounces! You also get loads of sauces and toppings to choose from for your burger. Way too many to list but I think there were at least 40 different toppings. Similarly, they offer just as many milkshake flavors too.
The huge variety is the main plus with this burger place. Prices are not high either. The only bad thing I could say is that my burger patty was a little bland. Whoever is making them needs to add a little more flavor into the ground meat, whether it be more salt or garlic or seasoning.
I came here for the first time for their movie tuesday deal. It was two hamburgers fries and two shakes. I like the burger. It was really filling and there's tons of free options like artichokes And onions. There's also tons of free sauces to add onto ur burger but who really wants that many sauces. The fries were normal. Nothing spectacular. The fries can't be upgraded with any toppings either so that was a bummer. I got a coconut flavoured shake and didn't like it even though I love coconuts. It was wayyyyyyyyy too sweet for me. They also mixed it to much to The point where it tasted like cold liquid sugar. It wasn't a "shake" to me because there was no thickness to it. The servers were nice and gave me suggestions on what to get when I was there. The hamburgers can be upgraded to a bigger patty if you're really hungry. The place had a nice oldies look to it. I really liked it. They didn't rush me or anything so that was a place. The meats aren't as exotic as those at bareburger, but its a great alternative to a crowded place!
I would go again!
I used to come here with my ex so I needed to rid myself of that association. Managed to finally do that & had a burger here as well as a shake. Their shake selection is mammoth though when I got a chocolate cherry, I didn't taste any cherry but simply chocolate. Did they make a mistake here? I mean, I love chocolate milk shakes but I have to eat those in small amounts or they'll kill me. The burger is also really good & you can get pretty much any topping under the sun you can think of for it without paying money. It's a 1950s decor with a name from a 70s "Saturday Night Live" sketch that also has kids' nights: talk about an only in NYC thing.
