This was the go to place for burgers in Park Slope before there were burgers places all over the neighborhood. As far I remember, the burgers were delicious, it's been years since I've had one from here. Recently I ordered breakfast, actually my husband ordered breakfast, and I told him "why would you order from there, it's more expensive, and we have diners blocks from us" well the breakfast came cold….which I figured, the coffee which was asked to be made light & sweet came black with milk & sugar on the side. If I wanted to make my own coffee I would have did so with my keurig. When I did finally put the milk & sugar in, the coffee tasted burnt, so that went down the sink. The bacon was also rubbery, don't know if that's because it was delivered cold. But overall I won't be ordering from them again, for one it came cold, more expensive than diners on fifth avenue, and nothing was impressive, not even the home fries. The extra star for the burgers I can remember….
Ordered lunch here and I am so disappointed in my coworker's choice of food. I ordered the tuscan panini. PANINI, and I end up with a sandwich roll…. The grilled chicken was super dry, the sundried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and pesto sauce didn't make up for it. The cole slaw didn't even taste like cole slaw. And let me also mention, the sweet potato fries were almost like mashed potatoes, super mushy and disgusting. I wish I could give a negative number rating but I guess a one star explains enough. I would not recommend this place, not even if you're starving…
Went for lunch today and ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken was ice cold in the middle. I asked them to recook the chicken and they brought me another piece that was ice cold in the middle. It felt like they fried the chicken frozen instead of thawing it first.
I was mostly done so I didn't want to complain – but they asked and I told them it was cold again. They shrugged and handed me the bill.
I really am disappointed because I like their burgers and other food – but serving a customer raw chicken twice and not offering to take it off the bill turned me off to this place.
I'd imagine that's not the only health violation. I'd avoid this place from now on.
This place is bad. Like really bad. But, at least my food came when I ordered on Seamless unlike some other Yelpers so I guess that's a plus….
My husband ordered a gyro platter and said it was nothing special. I ordered a chocolate chip waffle and it was awful. It was a very dark golden brown when ti arrived and trying to cut through it was like trying to cut through a rubber tire. A tasteless rubber tire. Going to stick with Daisy's when going to diners in the hood.
