  1. Small, small Irish style bar on City Island.  The place has a good atmosphere and good food at reasonable prices.  The meatball hero was very good.  Sauce wasn't too sweet and meat tasted fresh.  Fries were done very well.  Has a few tvs showing local sports and Friday night there was a guy playing live music.  Good time.

  2. What a fantastic place. My boyfriend and I (NYErs) were City Island Virgins (and actually feeling a wee bit judged by the locals). We rolled into this place planning to have one round and we stay here for 5 hours because it was such a riot. The bartender James and his unreal friend Tom Flynn blew me and my friends away with their awesomeness. The food is great, drinks are strong, prices reasonable. Go here

  3. Really cute local bar that's a notch above a dive bar. Definitely clean but has a friendly feel. You can order food from next door.

I stayed here to watch the brutal US vs. Germany World Cup game. The crowd was not more than 15, but we bonded as local neighborhood folks do. It was a memorable time.

  4. This is a friendly local spot that's tied in to the (always closed) diner next door. The food is always slightly better than I expect it to be, the service is always warm, and there's always a table. If you're not on City Island for a touristy lobster joint, this is the spot for you.
