Outside of the jacked up pricing. Our service was good. The food was only ok though.
The overpricing was a huge turnoff.
From previous experience I know their food isn't the greatest. We stopped in after watching Jersey Boys to have a beer before we caught the train back to Philly. This particular location is pretty dirty and unkempt. And $15 for a Bud Light Platinum and Corona? Seriously? We're in a chain restaurant, not in a utopian Vegas club!?

I know…I should know better. However, our alcohol levels were running low and we needed a quick fix. 2 nuke oven apps….3 beers…2 sodas…and a Hondo later we scored that fix!
We sat at the bottom bar…quite depressing. Just cold with no energy. When I went up to the restroom (another train wreck) I saw the main seating area. It was much nicer…. so if you really must… ask to sit in this section.
Avoid if you can…just too many other options for a quick drink…even in the heart of Midtown….
One would expect to pay more, just because your in New York. But this TGI Friday's is off the chain. I usually get my stand by the Bruschetta Chicken Pasta. Typically you get 6 to 8 pieces of chicken, here I got 4 very small pieces. Also a very small portion of pasta. Very disappointing for nearly $24. This is a privately owned location and doesn't participate in the Stripes program. I hate to say it but our hotel two blocks away has better prices and portion sizes.
The low # of stars is not surprising. This place is FILTHY, there is literally food on the floor and the wait staff just walks right over it. No host when you enter. You pretty much walk around and seat yourself while the servers are completely oblivious to your existence. We were in the area and wanted some quick appetizers before a show at Radio City. Horrible choice! Never again. When we did finally find a seat we continued to be ignored as the staff was socializing within earshot talking about what they did on the weekend. We made comments aloud such as we wonder if a waiter is going to come by some time this year and still no one paid any attention to our party of four. After a few more moments of frustration we walked out and this did not even seem unusual to anyone there that paying customers were now leaving the establishment.
If there was an option to give 0 stars I would.
I didn't want to go there because it is a chain restaurant that I can have anytime I want but it was 9:30 at night in time square and they were the only people who could seat us in under 30 minutes. Although we were seated right away, that was the only fast thing there. It took almost 10 minutes just to get our drinks and order. After that it took almost 40 minutes to get our food which wasn't that great. We kept complaining and they offered us a free dessert but at that point it was almost 11pm and we wanted to go to bed. Once we told them no and asked what else they could do for us they said nothing. They wouldn't even give us anything off of our bill. I was so upset that I didn't leave a tip. Our bill came to $43.53 with two meals and one soda. Our service by the whole restaurant was not acceptable. Knowing how they are now, I would have rather starved then spend over an hour there.
Also, do not go to the bathroom there. There was only 2 stalls and a really long line. I only wanted to wash my hands and couldn't do that without getting dirty looks from people who waited entirely too long to use a disgusting bathroom with watered down soap and paper towels all over the floor.
This place is a sad excuse for a restaurant.
This was, by far, THE most expensive meal from TGI Fridays I have ever had. I understand that things tend to be a bit more pricey in New York, but this takes the cake. When all was said and done, including tip, our total came to $84. Back home, our total probably would have been half that.
I ordered my usual meal, the Cajun Chicken and Shrimp pasta. The food was delicious, but the portion size was definitely smaller than what I would normally get. I actually was able to finish the entire portion, whereas I normally would have some leftover to take home.
We sat at the bar, and the bartender was very nice. And we enjoyed the view of 7th Ave and the football game that was on TV.

So I wasn't really that hungry when I came here. Just ordered the French onion soup, which is usually $5 at a small cafe or any other place really. The price here- $8.29. I asked how big it was and it was maybe the size of my fist in circumference.
Ok. So, then it better be a hell of a soup.
It really wasn't- just packed with cheese and sodium. My friend ordered the chicken noodle- 7.99. Barely any chicken, but a hell ton of sodium. Almost sure that canned soup gives you more. I can't judge the place by all its food, but first recommendation- don't get the soups.
I also ordered the whiskey brownie with butterscotch icecream. The only thing that was delicious- not worth 7.99 though.
The prices here are ridiculous- not to mention the service as well. The people here seem very angry. I'm not really sure I like that.
The bathrooms are also confusing! Going down the stairs, all the doors look the same, some locked, some open. Then, you can peer into the employee lounge through a tinted glass. It is very strange and creepy.
