I visited this establishment with some work colleagues. We were looking for some good food and good service. The food satisfied us but the service did not. Firstly this place is new and I'm sure getting the hang of things. They have an attractive, modern and hip decor. Echo seems like the kind of place to bring friends after work, meet people or bring a date however unless their service improves i would not recommend to come here. You spend a decent amount of money to eat at Echo and you expect to get decent service.
The tacos were very tasty, the wings were cooked well. My sauteed spinach was delicious.
Service: we sat for nearly 10 minutes before we were approached by a waiter. I had to shout at a waiter before one decided to arrive to our table. We gave the waitress are complete order since we had so much time to look at the menu. When the waitress arrived she did not have nachos and salsa in hand as every other table received as soon as they said. She arrived with water, took our order, left then returned three minutes later with nachos.
Why were for professional men tested differently? After she dropped the bill off we wanted to leave quickly but she left for another 8 minutes before she returned for the credit card. The place was not busy in the slightest. In fact several of the waiting crew seemed bored or busy conversating amongst themselves at the bar or in the kitchen. You can see through the kitchen since it is a glass wall divider.
I was disappointed with my visit and should have listened to the Yelp reviews rating and saved my money.
Echo has a lot of potential to be popular. The food is tasty. They have lots of alcohol. The interior is well designed. Unless they improve their service I wouldn't spend my money here.
Was here for brunch on Saturday with the ladies!! The food was really good the potatoes were really dry…stick with the side salad if you get the chicken omelet!! Over all the ambience here is really nice and they have sangria pitchers for $15 at all times!! That's a pretty good deal!! The firepit inside is really nice too and romantic 🙂 anyway would I be back?? Yesss the service was on point too!
Despite the excellent Cobb Salad, the complimentary chips, and the friendly and usually effective server, I can never give more than 3 stars to a place that does not bring out all the main courses at the same time; especially when we are just a party of 2.
Otherwise, this was a 4. As noted, my Cobb Salad was excellent. Very fresh and very tasty and very large. Our server was very responsive and helpful. The place has a very nice look to it. It is definitely a welcome addition to the area and I could see going back again, possibly soon.
Just bring everybody's food together. Seriously!!!
Visited Echo for mother's day dinner. Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy the experience.
When we arrived we had to ask the waiter at least twice every time we needed something whether it be for water or utensils or glasses for water. The food took an unreasonable amount of time to come out. And when it did only half of the entrees came while not all those people had utensils. (They were all taken away with our appetizers though we asked for new ones). Then a while later everyone else's entrees came out. My fiance's skirt steak was luke warm and seasoned just OK. My pizza had a weird yeast taste to it so I didn't eat much of it.
Their menu lacks a theme/focus. There were Mexican items, American, and random other kinds of cuisines. From a churrasco steak and tacos to a Mac and cheese section to a Italian dishes it was really doing too much in my opinion.
Yes, it was mother's day it was maybe busier than usual, however, I overheard they were short staffed. Regardless, as a restaurant, I think you should prepare for holidays accordingly especially since we had a reservation.
Lastly, I would also say the value of the entrees and apps just didn't match the quality. A $27 entree should be better than going to a typical chain restaurant. I wouldn't really recommend this restaurant for the food. The only positive is that the décor is interesting and modern/updated. But as a yelper, I really need good food quality…not just nice things to look at.
Oh this is a great addition to the highway and a beautiful getaway from the fast food options on route 22.
Echo has a beautiful and very unique interior. The ambiance is definitely multi-purposed, and the restaurant is honestly good for a guy's/lady's night, romantic date, or casual night out. Beautiful high ceilings, a gorgeous communal fireplace, and unique brass designs through ought the restaurant set the vibe for this place.
I came here very late on a Monday night. Although the bar was nowhere near closing the kitchen was soon to close, and as such the restaurant stopped serving on the dining room side. However, since we were here for an impromptu birthday celebration, the servers were kind enough to seat us on the dining side.
I'm really not sure what type of cuisine this place is. Although you would think its a traditional American restaurant, many of the items on the menu had a Latin/Mexican influence to it. Not to mention that we were served complimentary tortilla chips and salsa as soon as we sat down. For me I decided to go with the Sopressata brick oven pizza (tomato sauce, house mozzarella, salami, sausage, chili garlic, oregano) which was very tasty. The most impressive meal at the table however was the Pork Chop dish (French cut, served with mashed potatoes & topped with homemade Caribbean sauce). Make sure you save room for dessert! The restaurant specializes in sorcery and cooks up a mean Fried Ice cream dish. If you haven't heard of it and are in disbelief as I was, believe me ITS REAL! They also take it a step further by setting the thing on fire!!!! A real Hogwarts moment to enjoy.
Make sure you take a stop here and enjoy what Echo has to offer!
I like this place for drinks and apps- service is nice, ambience is very good, and I love that I don't actually have to get on rt. 22 to enter the parking lot. Not crazy about the food. We ate dinner here and it was okay. We came for brunch and I was really disappointed. I'll definitely be back for the bar area, though and the fireplace is cozy to sit around if the bar is full.
This is a four star review that should have been three. But excellent service and a really tasty to go order brought the average up. I'll explain.
We noticed this place months ago when it opened taking the place of an excellent diner we used to visit. It's a huge good looking place with an outstanding menu so we resolved to stop in at our first opportunity.
Friendly welcome and a big pile of complimentary chips and salsa was a fine way to start. We decided to split some BBQ wings to start. They were delicious and we were still enjoying them when our entrees arrived. That was kind of weird.
I had asked for a rare burger with sauteed onions and bacon. The bacon looked nice and crispy, the onions looked good and so did the brioche bun. But the burger appeared to my trained eye to be overcooked. One bite confirmed that. It was medium well. No worries. Our friendly server Jenna whisked it away and had the kitchen prepare a new burger. The replacement burger was rare but the crispy bacon was replaced by limp, just about cooked bacon. Oh well. Fries and what seemed to be a homemade ketchup or doctored up bottled ketchup made a good accompaniment.
My son had wanted a brick oven sausage pizza. They were out of sausage so he was offered chorizo. That was fine by him. Unfortunately, he really did not care for his pizza finding the crust and the chorizo, nearly devoid of flavor. Oh well, part two.
The story got better when we got home and my wife tucked into her Mediterranean flatbread and sweet potato fries. She really enjoyed the array of veggies on the flatbread. And she particularly enjoyed the roasted tomatoes. She was surprised how great this was given our rather lackluster report. A five star dish, she said.
This newish place seems to have potential and I hope it sticks around so we can give it another try or two. I did notice that the Stage House is opening a location a block away. If I was Echo's owner, that fact might keep me up at night.
I agree with all the other reviews, great potential.
Service was very friendly, but as others also said, it is very slow. I was in for lunch and there were only a handful of other seats. No reason for such a slow pace. However, the chips and salsa kept my hunger at bay and were really good. Had I been on a time crunch, we would have had an issue.
My burger was nothing special and the fries were just not good. I had a couple and thought maybe some salt would help, but it didn't. Good fries are a maker/breaker for a good restaurant for me!
Also, the prices seemed pretty steep. I usually don't pay much attention to prices, but these prices stuck out as pricey for the type of food served.
This would be a great place to have drinks with friends and coworkers.
