Very close to my house and one of the best sushi places I could order from in my area. My spicy tuna roll was excellent. They even add those crunchies to it that I like. The place itself I have only gone there to pick up food. But I don't know if I would eat there. It's extremely small. I think I would take a further drive to another sushi place just to feel more spacious. Other than that the food is excellent. Looking forward to trying other things from the menu.
BF and I order here about once a week. This is a great local sushi spot.
We normally order for delivery and I've never actually dined in house, but I have no complaints about their food or the length of their delivery. Food's always good and the fact that they have coupons is a plus.
Not exactly a gourmet dining experience but will do when you're in need of a quick sushi fix with limited funds.
There is really not much to be impressed about.
When you walk in the decor is actually quite nice but that automatically becomes off putting on how tiny and squished the tables are. If you want an idea of how close other patrons sit to you, let's just say the women sitting at the table next to me slapped me with her hair about six times.
The lunch specials are really the only thing worth going for. Their price is pretty cheap and quality is good for Staten Island standards.
I've ate there about 4 times until I found a hair in my soup (I had blond and the hair was jet black, so I can comfortably say it wasn't mine).. And I'm not one to make a scene, I just cancelled my order and left.
When walking in its decorated very contemporary, with dark wood and lime green walls. Its small and has a couple tables and a sushi bar.
This place is good for lunch. They have reasonably priced specials and you def get your monies worth. I had two rolls and it came with miso soup and a salad. All for 8 bucks. I will def check this place out for lunch again.
My boyfriend kept telling me about this place but since he lives on the other side of the world from me which is really just like 20 mins. (haha) I never got to try this place & I have heard from other people that this place is good and they actually opened up another one too on the island.
Came here for lunch and I just ordered some basic rolls and of course the bf gets all fancy and gets special rolls with these crazy names and like all types of sauces and fish and veggies in, a spicy kana salad and we ordered them all brown rice! Summer is coming, gotta be tight!
Anyways when we got the food I freaked out at first and gave it a weird look cause the brown rice was dark and had like some type of sauce on it so I was like there goes my $3 rolls. But when I ate it I actually enjoyed it, nice and fresh and you didn't taste the brown rice which I enjoy cause brown rice is not great, but not much of the healthy right food is.
The prices are cheap and good which is a good thing and I would def. go back here, I did not get to see the inside because we ordered out cause we rather be cuddling up in the couch and watching some Chicago Fire.. awww how cute I know!
I will def. be ordering and coming back to this place whenever i am around the country side again.
I was delightfully surprised at how good this sushi place was! The interior is beautifully decorated and very clean. They even have a nice tough – cucumber green napkins!
I ordered the Spicy California roll and the Shrimp and Avocado roll and both were great. I had a piece of a Sweet Potato Tempura roll and that was delicious (I love sweet potatoes). Prices were unbelievably cheap for the quality! I paid $7 for my two rolls which came with miso soup and ginger salad. The miso soup was better than most I've had! The ginger salad tasted fresh, but I've tasted better dressing elsewhere.
Highlights
– Inexpensive lunch specials ($7 for two rolls with soup and salad)
– Fast service
– Clean interior
– Good food
Don't forget to check in! You get a fried banana and vanilla ice cream dessert when you check in. (Only if you order two full priced entrees). Because we came for lunch they gave us one dessert for our table of 4 people.
Reliable little sushi spot for Staten Island if you like special rolls and things like that. Definitely recommend the Sex on the beach roll. Dragon balls look pretty cool too, I'll have to come back to try those. Came here twice and they were pretty consistent both times.
The only place nearby that beats it is Takayama.
