Kikoo Sushi
“They have an interesting concept where instead of you picking the pieces from a tray, you order everything from an iPad, and they bring it to you.”
“I can't think of any other restaurant that does this and I believe that all restaurants especially AYCE should copy their business format.”
“Would recommend the tempura roll, salmon avocado roll, salmon sashimi.”

Come here to fill up on a dime. For $16, you can enjoy an AYCE sushi galore. Note, it's cash only during lunch.
You'll receive an iPad with menu options not limited to sushi, including but not limited to items such as miso soup, miso eggplant, tofu and fried chicken.
Food here is less than mediocre. I wouldn't bring a date here but I'd probably come here with a large group of friends who need to be fed on a budget.
Note that not all images on the menu will be the items you receive at your table. Yes, pictures are deceiving. Welcome to 2016. #photoshopera.
Their AYCE lunch special for $16 is very enticing but you'll quickly be disappointed. The concept of ordering from an iPad is cool but items are slow to arrive and the waitresses have no idea what you order unless you remind them a couple of times. For example, I ordered miso soup and it didn't arrive for over 15 minutes until I had to remind a server to bring it out.
The quality of the fish is mediocre at best. The portions are also skimpy and tiny. The sushi chef missed a few bones in the unagi (eel) and one was lodged inside my throat. Granted they're soft and small enough that you can probably eat them but that's still carelessness on the restaurant's part and a lawsuit waiting to happen.
So this place always sparked my interest. I always see a lunch sign saying $15 all you can eat sushi and I always see it being pretty full so hey, why not try right? mmMmmm well, I have to say, it wasn't great at all. They give you really bad quality food for all you can eat lunch menu. They sort of stuff you up with "junk." Like cheap spring rolls, dumplings, etc. Also, not authentically opened by Japanese people, it is Chinese sushi. Those are the Jap places I usually avoid.
Okay so when you order from the iPad, make sure to read # of pieces. Their iPad pictures are totally different from what really comes to the table. I will post pictures to show what I mean. For example, the iPad pic will show 4 pieces of sashimi in a nice bowl, but they will give you 1-2 pieces. That's not so bad because you can just up the quantity on the iPad, but quality of food is just not there. There wasn't a lot of good sushi options. They would have stuff like cucumber rolls lol. Ummm, I'm here for sushi sushi, not vegetable rolls lol. Or like crabmeat and egg sushi which I can just make at home if I really wanted to lol! Basically what I'm saying is, you get cheap non quality sushi, but hey, it was also $15-16 all you can eat so I'm not sure what I expected from this place. Guess I should have known.
Think dinner and regular menu will have better quality food.
Will not be returning, hence the 3 star rating. Might also be a 2-3 star rating. If you don't take quality into consideration for Japanese food and just like whatever sushi, this will be an alright place because you get quantity over quality, but if you are a foodie person like I am, def not the place for you!
This place is good because it's really cheap..but that's about the only thing going for it.
At $16 for AYCE sushi and misc japanese, this is probably one of the cheapest options you can find in NYC..but you get what you pay for.
The fish here are definitely not the freshest, the tuna is actually quite fishy. Appetizers mostly come in two pieces and the only thing worth mentioning is probably the fried rice (it is quite greasy though). I actually had a bone in my salmon sashimi?… A little sketch.
Either way, I won't say I was super disappointed — you can expect to get what you'd get for a unusually cheap AYCE sushi. Mediocre/questionable quality, very limited selection
5 F'in Stars!!!
I got the all you can eat option. Ordering from the ipad is cool and fun.
Throwing down AYCE sushi, sashimi, desserts, salmon teri, and beverages is even more fun.
The selection is vast and everything I tried (40 different orders (some duplicates)) were excellent!
I would go here at least once a month if I was local.
The Sashimi was on point. I probably had a dozen pieces? I stuck mostly with the tuna and the salmon.
The service was fast and constant. We got there after a huge rush, so everything was smooth.
The variety is amazing and I mean AMAZING!
Oh, on top of all that, I had a groupon. You can use more than one per table.
I used so much of my precious stomach space for sushi that I didn't even use all the table's drinks. I had a draft beer and a cold sake, both were fine, but as a table, we still had 3 more drinks we could have ordered.
Oh yeah, cheesecake was also legit, but they were out of the black and white mousse pie/cake.
I really do want to give this place a good rating but the bad service has left me with no other choice. Not that the food was amazing but it wasn't horrible, just not yet (continue reading). The service that the waitresses presented us with ruined a big portion of my time and meal there. If that's the service you want your restaurant to portray, then I'm surprised why the restaurant's overall rating wasn't even lower (3-1/2 is pretty low already).
First my friends and I walked in, thinking of just getting the lunch special, but after seeing the prices, we decided to switch to AYCE for $16. Before we sat down, we already saw a small dish of wasabi and ginger on the table. They cleared up the table but left that dish there (thinking they better not tell to use that/ and that its new).
A waitress comes up to us with three water cups but I was busy talking to my friends and I didn't realize she was behind me. I was moving my hand from over the table to my pants pocket, and almost accidentally elbowed the water cups she was holding. I quickly apologized (which I did because it was an accident out of the fact that I didn't know she was there and that I did elbow the cups a bit, but that doesn't mean she was not not fault!). The look she gave me immediately was nasty and disgusting like I killed her favorite pet or something! She didn't even apologize and completely left the blame on me as if it was totally my fault. My friend asked me why I apologized and that I shouldn't have because if anything she should. She didn't even say excuse me or watch out when getting us the water, so basically she saw me in her way and still decided to bring over the water over me. IMO, DUMB!
So for ordering, you gotta do it with an iPad they provide you with, even water, wasabi and ginger… So even if they see your water cups empty, they don't get you more water unless you order yourself some water on the iPad. We quickly ordered because there was only an hour left before last order for lunch AYCE. We ordered several appetizers, rolls, sushi, sashimi and WATER, along with some wasabi, ginger and spicy mayo. The last few mentioned things were given to you within a minute after confirming your order. However, they decided not to give us our ordered wasabi and ginger, probably seeing the dish on our table that didn't belong to us. So we asked one of the waitress (probably the younger of the bunch with short hair), and she was already giving us attitude before we even said anything. We explained that we would like a new dish of wasabi and ginger (which we did order) and she continues to tell us that it's new and it was "just there". So my friend and I were like well then can we get a new one? And she angrily took the dish of wasabi and ginger and turned while rolling her eyes. Super pissed at this point, not even extremely good food, would've turned back the hands of time or watered down this anger, which I can say without bias, was not something I could find at this place. Everything was mediocre, if not, lower than standard.
They gave lots of rice for all hand and cut rolls. (Not a good thing for AYCE – it's so you can be full faster). They give so much lettuce for all the "salads" on the menu. We ordered a bit of everything from the menu. But we got a lot of sashimi because we didn't want to eat all that rice.
The food here is not even up to average standard, everyone is here because it's cheap AYCE. But make sure you want some unexpected bad service tagging along with it. Not all were rude, but two is enough to make a whole meal go wrong. I definitely would not return, I would rather spend some more money on some quality sushi or just find another place with better service. I also would not recommend this place to anyone because it's not worth even talking about besides all the rage and anger. That's pretty much it.
Oh almost forgot, when my friend and I were paying, they kept staring us down, and when we finally signed our credit card receipts, one waitress came and took it, opened it and stared at it in front of us. Trying to see how much we tipped? More than enough for the service I got! Another rude act…
Overall very mediocre Japanese food quality and selection. But AYCE for $16 lunch on a weekend????? Worth it in my opinion. Fast service too.
Groupon! Ordering food from an iPad is great. Yea buttons. If they don't bring what you want the first time, re-order =) Portions are small… because it's all you can eat but just keep ordering. Their cooked food is pretty decent. I liked the scallions wrapped with beef, salmon collar and cooked squid. Sashimi, they had 4? available that day. The red snapper was good.
Fun place to eat with a group of friends. The food is a 3 but the server we had was super nice so this gets bumped up another star.
