I have eaten here a few times, but just never got around to the review… I like that fact that if I feel like sushi, I can order that, but I can also order all types of other Asian cuisine (I can't really make a 'meal' out of sushi – unless it's lunch). so far, everything that either I or my dining companions have ordered, have been fantastic. I've been there with a friend for dinner and drinks (BYOB – big plus in my book!), my hubby on Valentine's Day, and my mom, when neither of us felt like cooking. as I stated, everything any of us had ordered has been fresh, tasty, and abundant. I've had the sushi (I'm a safety girl – usually just order the cali rolls, or tuna rolls) – the dinners that I've had come with miso soup, which is the usual fare, but very good none-the-less… my go-to meal is the Four Seasons (shrimp, scallop, chicken, beef in a garlic sauce – oh YUM!). The service is very attentive and friendly (and they'll bring out silverware if you ask – although I joke around that they probably make fun of us upon doing so…I try to use the chopsticks – I really do! LOL). Been there over a half dozen times, and will definitely go back in the future when the mood hits me.
First time visiting was on a Friday night. Arrived at 7pm with no reservation and only waited about 10 minutes. Food is awesome and very fresh. Presentation of food is also very unique. Avocado salad was fantastic. Had a bunch of rolls and some sashimi and sushi. All fantastic. Prices are moderate. Some items are priced fairly while others I found to be a bit over priced. Only downfall is I think they are completely understaffed. Our waiter was very nice and friendly but was a bit nonexistent cause of other obligations. Hire more people. Will definitely return.
Nice decor. Good service. We were here for lunch oand very reasonable lunch prices. Sushi was very good. Lunch was quick. Good hot and sour soup. Very clean.
Express lunch box special is a good value for $10. Spicy salmon comes with a nice piece of fish, rice, salad, dumplings & a small California roll. Very satisfying, informal lunch. Server was pleasant & efficient.
Leave room, Packanack bakery is right next door :p
Blossom Asian Bistro is a pretty solid place. They are a CJT restaurant (Chinese, Japanese, and Thai).
What sets them apart from other CJT's is that they do things a little differently. Like, when you order Thai Iced Tea they top it off with whipped cream! Score!
I also, had the Thai Red Snapper which instead of being wrapped in bamboo it was wrapped in a banana leaf, which not only made a good presentation look but held the flavor in better too.
The thing I love about this place is they go above and beyond on food presentation, especially with the sushi. Sometimes they do simple things like stack the sushi rolls in a different pattern and sometimes complicated things like make art drawings out of sauce.
The specials from here are amazing I had a Japanese, Chinese, Mexican fusion appetizer: Jack Tacos; sushi stuffed tacos with a Chinese fried noodle shells. I also had the Gangnam style duck, which was really good.
The staff here are always extremely attentive, very friendly, and have no problem answering any questions about the dishes.
This place is worth checking out. But like all good restaurants, expect a good wait on Fridays and Saturdays.
