The only thing that makes Minnow different from all the other restaurants in Delta's C and D Terminals is that is has a seafood theme. You are still getting wildly gouged in the pocketbook just because you can tap on a greasy public iPad for 20 minutes.
Overpriced, somewhat dirty yet decent tasting food. That would be a one sentence summary.
Perspective: Frankly, I despise flying through this airport. Even worse, this terminal. Pretty much all the food is horrible and I hate to say it, Minnow is probably the better option of all and I don't regret going here. The iPads to order food on don't solve the problem of this horrific airport and if they are the reason that all the food is so overpriced compared to other airports, I'd rather them get rid of it.
The Feel: It's a nicely designed, yet cheap looking sushi bar. It has the feel of sitting in a hallway and for the price you are paying, the experience is pathetic.
The Soup and the Veggie Roll: I'll admit, I was scared. I was scared to order raw fish at an airport joint where the whole bar was filthy dirty and it took them 10 minutes to realize that perhaps cleaning up the mess where new guests are already sitting is perhaps a good idea. I got the clam chowder and it was good. Expensive for what it is, but good. Veggie roll was also fine.
After eating the insanely overpriced but tasty enough soup and veggie roll, I am glad I made the choices I did. But hey, if you want to play Russian roulette and get raw fish, by all means go for it!
Sushi in an airport. I've sunk to new lows, but I was drawn in anyway. It ended up being pretty much exactly what I expected. The fish was fresh and delicious, especially compared to what I get in Kansas City, but it was overpriced and well, not worth it. We weren't starving, so the husband and I just split a few options: We got the Yellowtail ceviche, the Minnow roll and a 2nd warm roll that had salmon skin, but I can't remember the name. The Minnow roll was good, but more greens than fish. The salmon skin was good and something I haven't had before. Chewy, but still flavorful and the ceviche was excellent as well. Overall, the presentation and the fish was delicious, but even at overpriced airport standards these weren't worth the price. They were also made to order (which makes sense), but keep it in mind you need AT LEAST 15 minutes for them to prepare it.
Aweful-don't go here. The pictures on the iPads are incredibly deceiving! I ordered the bento box of the day and it came with sea urchin, which I didn't realize because the picture had delicious looking tuna, and I didn't know what uni was, well now I do. I politely asked the waitress if we could get something else instead and she said no. They were unaccomodating to my colleague's avocado food allergy which also was not mentioned on the menu. Very overpriced, small portions, and not good customer service. Go to Crust if you have the choice. Very disappointing lunch at minnow.
Don't bother – the first reviewer is right – food lacks flavor and is way overpriced Fresher food and tastier at the other venues This was a big disappointment – servers did a good job, but bid the food isn't good, not much to work with Spent $75 on 3 sushi rolls ? Iced tea and a glass of wine – crazy!
