Service has plummeted like a bad stock! I have to flsg them down to serve us, and were given an attitude?? I don't know what happened to this place. They charged my 3 year old niece sushi buffet price when they can obviously tell she is no competitive eater champ! WHAT pissed me off the most is that the last two times I've been here two months in between, they had NO green tea ice cream! This is Unacceptable! What Japanese place doesn't stock up on green tea ice cream. This place should be ashamed of themselves.
BEWARE!!! DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY!!!
I went to this restaurant 75weeks ago.. Long before my yelping day, I found A BUG in my cooked food. I posted a picture on Instagram and never went there again…..
until…
My boyfriend had a few menus laying around the house and since I was traumatized after last visit I forgot this places exsisted. We stupidly we ordered take out again. And surprise, suprise…… White tuna sashimi had red worm like string inside it. No other sashimi but the white tuna!!!!!!
After calling the restaurant:
After explaining the stituation to 3 different people who kept passing the phone to each other. The manager is absolutely the worst. After being disgustingly rude and not wanting to refund our money (after we will gladly show the odd fish) and not send the driver because "the driver doesn't want to go back", you are the manager but your driver is controlling this situation ? My boyfriend demanded to know his name. He asked him for his name 4 times and after being reluctant to answer he said "my name is Bill, but my name doesn't really matter !" IS THIS HOW A "MANAGER" speaks to people ?!
So we resorted to going to the restaurant and speaking to this manager in person. Mid arguing with the manager one of the waitresses is in the corner hiding and taking pictures. What is wrong with this establishments. They obviously do not care about customers !!!!!!
Absolutely disgusting establishment that should be out of business !
If you've got a craving for quality sushi and a big appetite come here!
This sushi spot is a hidden gem. Who thought you could get top quality sushi that can compete with the best of them? And they do made to order AYCE! My favorites other than sushi are the scallion pancakes and the mango kani salad.
Extra star for Makoto, and here's why:
Saturday, early evening…say 7pm – boyfriend and I are starved and have a hankering for sushi. Hop in the car and head over to Makoto. Walk in and there is only 1 open table. I have never seen it that crowded. To boot, it was 2 large parties taking up the joint. One had about 14-16 people the other 10. One table had a group of four, happily eating away (i'm sure they beat the crowds). So we sat down and I really was expecting the evening to tank. I had suggested to my date that maybe we just try somewhere else as the service was going to be slow. But we stayed and waited it out.
And somehow with all the crowds and the sushi chefs feverishly working, we didn't have to wait very long for our food. I know the wait staff was probably overwhelmed with everything going on and truthfully I can't speak for the groups, but our experience was fabulous.
Food is typically delicious. Decent service. Nice atmosphere. The thai basil fried rice is the bomb!
Love you Makoto. You guys never fail me. Even a year later, you guys still continue to roll out the same tasty sushi. Awesome job! My husband picked up our food tonight and it was fantastic!!
We ordered the salmon tempura roll, spicy crab and spicy shrimp roll, shumai and vegetable yaki udon.
Love love love it all. My favorite salmon tempura roll. Its amazing. Its big and when you bite into it, crunch! Omggg!!! The vegetable yaki udon is fantastic! Big noodles and the sauce isn't salty like i thought it would be My first time trying it and it was great. Next time I'll try it with meat. The shumai are so good, and the sauce it came with was tasty together.
Next time we will do the site down all you can eat. I think my husband will love the unlimited shumai
Thanks again for a great Sunday dinner!!
Service: 0 stars. Unfortunately, the service here was terrible. I was in the restaurant for about 45 minutes, and the waitress came to my twice – once for my order and once for the check. I didn't even get water. I feel like they stole my money to tip her.
Food: 3 stars. The food was okay – very average. The sushi was a little bland, and they did not use as much fish as I would have liked in the dragon roll. The salmon avocado roll was good, and the salmon was very fresh and plentiful.
Tea: 0 stars. Silly thing to rate, I know. But, when it's rainy and cold, I love green tea. They provided what tasted like warm water. I asked them to bring me the tea bag so I could steep it longer – they just refilled my cup with more of the warm water liquid.
Overall, I will not be returning, but wish the business the best of luck. I highly recommend they retrain their servers.
All you can eat sushi for the price of $22.95. You fill out what you want and they bring it to you made fresh. The menu includes a variety of salads, soups, special rolls, kitchen entrees (ranging from teriyaki dishes and udon), as well as desserts. You definitely leave with a full belly but they charge you $1 per piece of sushi wasted so don't over order. We ordered 4 rolls and 6 apps, however the apps only come with a few pieces.
Service was mediocre nothing extraordinary and the atmosphere is also standard.
My favorite app was the grilled mussels, crab Rangoon and coconut shrimp. For the rolls, order pain in the ass! It has real lobster meat and shrimp!
