Innovative with some of their sushi like the Totowa and drinks. I know I can never be bored going to this location because there is always something new to try. Good for group and date setting. It's located within a shopping complex so there is ample parking. Area is clean and staff is friendly. Can't wait to go again.
Not sure how long it's been since I was here last, maybe a year, but it's nowhere as good as it used to be.
First of all, if you are dining in be ready for the blaring cheesy techno music at 8:30pm. It's impossible to hear anyone because it's so loud, so I wouldn't come here for a date or quiet night.
Second, there used to be a cozy area in front of the bar with a functioning fireplace. It appears the fireplace is no longer as it was 58 degrees and it wasn't turned on. The area we were sat was freezing and there was a door that kept being open into the back area.
The service was average and the sushi was pretty good, but not worth the price when all things are considered. Doubt we will be back again.
We decided to Sushi Lounge to celebrate a friends birthday after reading Yelp reviews. The place is upscale and very nice. They had a DJ. No dancing on the floor though. We ordered totowa roll and had hot saki. Food was absolutely amazing. Definitely going back and would recommend sushi lounge to everyone!
Not a huge fan of this restaurant – I think it's extremely expensive for sushi – atmosphere is very pretty though – fun to go for night life
This restaurant is a fun place to go if you're looking for something that offers more than just dinner and if you're looking for a better crowd than 46 lounge. It has a lively night crowd and it appears the majority of people go to enjoy the night life crowd and ambiance. The food is pretty good, but nothing super special and on the pricey side for sushi. My friend and I went and had dinner and a few drinks and the bill came out to $100 for just two people, but then again we did order two drinks each and the cocktails are around $14. Our server was very attentive and nice, and even though the food and drinks were a tad overpriced, it was still good quality. The decor and ambiance is very high end. Afterwards we went to the bar area where they had seating at the bar top, bar tables, and a lounge-y area with fireplace. The DJ was playing fun music and there was a good crowd. Everyone seemed 25+ and were dressed pretty classy. I didn't see any one that seemed like the "jersey shore" type of crowd. We left around 930 and the place was just starting to fill up. I'd like to go back there when they are running the drinks specials.
I really like the sushi here. It's a great place to come on Wednesday nights because they have half price martinis, but it gets really crowded. I'm actually writing this review because there is a half hour wait for a table for 2 and it's 9pm. Anyway, it's a really trendy atmosphere with great food and drinks.
This place is pretty cool. I've come here on a bunch of occasions and always have a good time. The atmosphere is very cozy. They have bar seating and outdoor seating. They have a nice little fireplace that you can gather around when its winter. In the summer, the outdoor space is always the place to be. Wednesday nights are the popular night to go here b/c its half price martinis. It gets really crowded. Its a very "north jersey" crowd.
The sushi here is good- nothing great or bad. Ive had better, especially for the pricing. However, this place overall is pretty cool.
Lots of parking- conveniently located on Rt 46.
*lobster risotto (this was okt; I honestly can't even tell you if there was even a bit of lobster in this dish; the rice was too hard and definitely not like a traditional risotto which is much creamier; this was more like a "loose" sticky rice than anything else; this dish was lacking salt, moisture and just overall flavor; maybe if they cooked the grains in a seafood broth and then tossed on the sauteed mushrooms and scallions, then it would be better and perhaps qualify as an actually risotto dish; for $14, I'd also like to see some fuckin lobster)
*Thai Basil chicken (there was a perfectly cooked chicken thigh sitting on top of chili fried rice; I was so excited that the meat was bone in, so the meat retained its juices; I loved the candied garlic!!!! there was like 7 whole cloves of garlic that I consumed and felt like the happiest girl eating every one. The chili fried rice was surprisingly really good too, however, it's definitely not spicy but any means. I really really enjoyed this dish and would gladly order this again)
I have been to this location several times and I am never disappointed. I like the service, food is reliable and drinks are also on point. The bar at night is very nice. It's not too crowded and you're not fighting with anyone to get a drink. There's a DJ on the weekends but no one ever dances and there's no real dance floor anyway. During nicer weather, there's an outdoor patio that opens. It's sooo cute!!!! They try to make it swanky looking even though you're in the middle of Totowa. Haha. Overall, Sushi Lounge is a place that I keep returning to because of its consistency.
