  1. Totally making this my new go-to spot.

So, it looks pretty janky on the outside which is kinda misleading. The inside is nice and cozy. I went in the afternoon and there were a couple free tables, but I dunno if it's more crowded in the morning. Two yummy toasted bagels and an iced coffee for only $7!

They have a huge outdoor patio in the back. Will def return!

  2. Great place. I've been here once (this morning actually) and I already know I'm going to be back here many, many more times. We got two breakfast sandwiches and a medium coffee for $10, which is not bad at all. The food was delicious and surprisingly filling. I wasn't a big fan of the coffee though. It was interesting, but it was weird at the same time. It's definitely different from what I usually have.

It's a quaint little place. They have a small area for seating, but I recommend picking up. It was pretty packed at 10 am.

Also, they have a $10 limit on credit cards. Based on previous reviews, it seems like they used to do cash only, but they changed their policy recently.

Overall, I recommend coming here for a delicious breakfast that doesn't break the bank. Will be back again (most likely next weekend since I walk in the opposite direction to work).

  3. I have a crazy obsession with this place! The coffee is perfect and not overpriced like a lot of places in the area. Although the indoor seating area is small it is just the right size for the type of food they serve fast and casual. I'm a big fan of their brewed coffee and breakfast sandwiches. They're simple but done well and the location is perfect for my weekend walks in the neighborhood!

If you're getting coffee anywhere else stop! And come here! I'm so thankful to have this place around instead of another Starbucks.

  4. Gooey, cheesy egg & cheese on a bagel. Nothing fancy, but exactly as it should be. The rest of the sandwiches sound yummy, but the egg & cheese is all I have tried, and is enough to make me a fan. Also a surprisingly decent selection of international whole bean coffee. Take it whole and grind it yourself, though! I got 1/2 lb that I asked to be ground "a bit coarse" for my reusable Keurig pod at work. What I got was a bag of rocks. I went back and they were gracious enough to grind me a replacement 1/2 lb, but that was no good either. She turned the dial all the way to extra-fine. I told her not so fine, to which she responded "the machine grinds everything more coarse than you expect." She went medium-fine, and it was still quite coarse. They should get their grinder checked out. Until they do,  order your hot bev while u wait for your egg & cheese and you'll be all good.

  5. Legal Grounds was just a few blocks from our apartment and had some great reviews. We needed coffee so the decision was pretty simple. A small cute coffee shop in Jersey City. We ordered a coffee and a hot chocolate, then a breakfast bagel for a snack.

An impromptu to stop for our food tour that was a success. Thank you Yelp- again.

  6. Hellooooooooo Coffee!

Good Morning delicious Ham, Egg, and Cheese sandwiches on a soft roll!

    Free Wifi!

    Cash Money Only.

  7. Solid breakfast stop with nice homemade sandwiches. Coffee was very good and strong the way I like it.

Good place to hit on your way to work.

  8. Solid breakfast sandwiches, especially the wraps. Odd hours. But the staff is friendly enough and it's a great local joint. Friends rave about the coffee, I don't drink coffee myself so I can't comment. But they get their bagels from Wonder Bagels so you know they are good. Off the beaten path but worth a visit! They have some interesting cream cheese flavors- those are next on my to try list!
