I had the crabmeat.
The bread was not warmed up – which would have been okay if it weren't dense.
The aioli was perfect with the crabmeat but the crabmeat was slightly on the dry side. But it was a large scoop.
I may try this place again.
Service was prompt and courteous. There is outdoor seating on a nice day. I probably should have sat outside because the Internet does not work inside.
Super fun swanky Parisian Bistro feel on the Upper East Side. We showed up very early for our reservation and no worries! We were seated immediately! We ordered a bottle of Gigondas and settled in for a lovely meal on Thanksgiving Eve.
We tried the tuna tartare and some oysters for starters. I had the tuna Nicoise which was good but not great. The daughter had the orecchiette and raved about it the first time and the second time she ate it. British Boyfriend has the Coq au vin and just loved it.
The entrees were tasty, the wine was delicious and it was a great Mid week meal in a beautiful candle lit, mirrored wall setting!
Yeah I'd definitely give 4 stars. The food is consistent and who doesn't love outdoor seating on a warm day/night in the Upper East Side.
Last visit I had the typical French omelette with herbs. It was absolutely perfectly prepared. Writing about it now, makes me crave one. Order it with fries if you are more hungry or order it with a mesclun salad. Btw, where was mesclun years ago? It's like it suddenly burst on the scene and appeared everywhere at once.
Anyway, their little cookies for dessert are a wonderful completion to a satisfying meal and experience.
Charming UES bistro with satisfying food and drinks but OVERPRICED
My clams were fresh and tasty as was my fish and chips. Not complaints at all at our table about the food. Portions were decent no one left hungry.
If you're looking to cut costs, avoid the cocktails!
We happened to stumble into this cute little place during the height of a blizzard after noticing a cute snowman with a tie they built right in front of the restaurant. We just wanted some hot coffee and dessert and weren't sure if they would let us just order those given the "fanciness" of the restaurant's appearance. But they did, so that's what we got!
The front comprises of a cute little bar that was full, and one wall with two-person tables for exactly the purposes of ordering drinks and appetizers or desserts. The larger room toward the back is for the full dining experience.
Service was superb. They took our coats, were polite, and took photos of us when we asked without any delay.
1. Coffee: Very very good coffee. Came with fresh milk and organic sugar.
2. Molten chocolate cake: So delicious, exactly what we needed, with whipped cream on top. The waitress was funny, because she was aghast that I had a soup spoon on my table instead of the dessert spoon and apologized profusely. In any case, gives you a glimpse into the professionalism here.
The food items looks delicious too. Maybe next time!
I have been here twice. Both times with girlfriends for dinner.
Nice location right off Madison on 65th. And you WILL pay for this location:)
Had EXCELLENT service with a smile and a sense of humor. Same server both times.
True European experience where they do not rush you out. They allow you to talk and eat your dinner at a nice pace
Really nice time at dinner both times. Had reservations both times. We ate early and did not need them but later in the dinner, the resto was busy.
Food was actually excellent. Portions were nice.
Had moules- of course, a little too salty but the mussels were tasty. Had a fish another time which was excelllent.
Had some spinach and
crepe suzette was tasty both times.
Service was pleasant and with a smile.
I will be back!
Bathrooms decent
A beer, a litchi martini and a pâté for $40 is not bad on the upper east side. Only wish quality were better. Couldn't get through my cocktail and the very dry pâté wasn't great.
We stopped by during restaurant week for lunch. My friend got something off the restaurant week menu (wild mushroom ravioli), but I had already decided I was getting the macaroni and cheese from the regular menu. I had a glass of Malbec, and they brought the most wonderful bread and butter to the table. I had a few bites of my friend's crème brûlée, which was out of this world. The service was great and the food amazing. Check it out!
