This is a great bar if you want to grab a bite to eat (the fried pickles taste great and the burgers looked awesome), chat over some drinks, or watch a game (or all three).
The women's bathroom is so clean for a bar and the atmosphere is nice. I'd definitely come back.
I came here after work one day and the experience was very satisfying. I've had their Irish BLT & E and their Storehouse Burger, which is freakin' delicious. They have happy hour as well as Trivia Night, which is super fun. The bartenders are extremely friendly and funny. They've got two floors, the second being a little more quiet than the first. And the prices are decent for the location!
Came here after the Bacon and Beer Classic at Citi Field. Our waitress definitely wasn't thrilled about a certain member of our party who was a little, how you say, 'pissy' after all that beer earlier (and several after, d'oh) but in her defense, we weren't super thrilled about it either. So we came to Storehouse after a quick flick through Yelp-reviewed restaurants in the area good for bar food, and Yelp (and The Storehouse) delivered.
It may be the beer talking, but they made me a damn good burger. I don't know if there will ever be a day when a good burger and fries isn't the ultimate meal for me. So simple, so elegant, so tasty.
We sat at a table in the back corner, which is always nice. The service was pretty good. We were all guzzling down water after the event we had come from, so after a bit we asked for a pitcher of water and were quickly accommodated. We ate, we talked, we helped my friend decide what to eat, we paid, we left. Simple, elegant, tasty.
Awesome place in the city, used to come here with my boy because our friend "russian" worked here….they also had a bartender who collection sailor jack things….see the conversations when you drink at a great bar..lol..you get to know people…i was once a weekend regular here lol….great place, food is also good, priced a little high as expected at a place in new york…met alot of cool people and they always have the music on playing good tunes late…
Went here on a random night when my husband and I were trying to find a place to congregate with some friends for a mini reunion while in the city. The place has 2 floors and great selection of whiskey. Some good bar bites (Brussels sprouts were awesome..and they had shishito peppers. Brings me back to Spain! 🙂 the waitress was super nice and accommodating and let us sit at the big table while we waited for our friends. All in all a great little bar, which has room for big groups, tucked away on 23rd.
Tucked inside of an unassuming midtown storefront, the Storefront is a solidly mediocre venue with sports bar vibes. The menu is rife with deliciously greasy bar food (think truffle fries, spinach/artichoke dip, chicken fingers, etc.), but the service was slow. This was especially surprising because the place wasn't crowded at all (despite the fact that it was a Friday evening, and you would've expected more people inside, watching the game or chattering over beers). We had to ask several times for the server to bring over napkins, utensils, and waters.
Came on a Friday during March Madness, sat upstairs.
Good amount of TVs. Nice drink list at reasonable prices. Good subway access.
All set up for a great time except the poor waitress had to cover the entire upstairs… during a friday of March Madness… not sure what management was thinking there. How could it possibly be a slow night?
The girl was trying her hardest but it was simply an impossible task. She messed up my order, just a different flavor of cider so no big deal. But you had to chase after her for a round!
So lost points there, but this place has potential. I will give it a try again and you should too when in the area.
Casual spot with a great whiskey list! Most tables are for four people. Little pricey. On a Friday night, this place wasn't too crowded. Music was mostly late-90's stuff.
