  1. For a classic, all American burger this is basically as good as it gets. There are no fancy tricks or gimmicks here. Just a juicy burger, always cooked fresh to order topped with everything that makes this country great: onion rings, bacon, cheese, you name it. The toppings were all very fresh and there was definitely a good helping. When they say "topped with avocado" they don't mean two slices like some restaurants, we are talking a at least half of an avocado.
Don't let the size or location fool you, this place knows how to make a delicious burger. The owner is very friendly and was really invested in making our dining experience great. When I asked what the house special rockin sauce was (which is an absolutely delicious mayo based peppercorn sauce with just enough kick) he simply gave our table some fries and sauce so that we could all try. I thought this was a very nice touch. The twice fried fries were delicious and would compete with any I have had at the nicest places in NYC.
Did I mention the decor? He really went all out in designing this place! It's covered in rock and roll memorabilia: guitars, posters, concert tickets, etc. Also, what better way to down an American burger than with classic rock blasting in the background. The sound track was awesome.
If I had to come up with a negative I guess it would be that the food is on the greasy side. And I'm not even sure this is a negative because it is no more greasy than any classic burger covered with bacon and cheese should be! If you are on a diet you may have some trouble.
Make sure you hurry over to Rony's Rockin' Grill for a locally owned and awesome burger joint without the snooty NYC burger chain hullabaloo.

  2. Came in for lunch and ordered a Yolk-O, subbed fries in burger for onion rings at no extra charge. The decor is pretty cool, but it could use a bit of work. The space doesn't really go well with the rock memorabilia on the walls. Maybe make it more like a 1950s diner?

Anyway, the Yolk-O was solid. Not an amazing burger, but not a bad one either. Rony flattens the patties on the grill, similar to Smashburger and Shake Shack. Fries were fresh cut, reminded me very much of the fries from Five Guys. And I don't think $9.50 for a burger, fries, and drink is bad at all.

Rony was a nice guy, but his staff could use a bit more training. She asked Rony many questions, like how to split the bill on 2 credit cards and whether or not we could make substitutions on our order. While I'd normally would ignore a bit of ignorance, her attitude wasn't very pleasant. Rony checked on us more than she did.

But the food is pretty good, so I wouldn't mind returning.

  3. The following phrase is a coveted phrase in my universe and not something I throw around:

Rony's Rockin Grill serves the best cheeseburger I've ever had.

Anyone who knows me knows I take my burger game very seriously. I'm a burger connoisseur, also know as a Burgoisseur. I have a Yelp list with my favorite burgers and I only put burgers on there that RESONATE with me.

So I will now take a moment to but Rony's Rockin Grill on the TOP of my list.

Try the Yolk-O–an absurdly delicious burger masterfully topped with an egg, bacon, cheese and ketchup. The first bite is borderline bizarre because suddenly you're in a food-warp and orbiting in a higher dimension than is known to man.

I don't care if you're reading this at 10:48pm and live fifty-six minutes away. Get in your car, go there, and wait for them to open their doors.

An amazing plus to the holy burgers is interacting with Rony, a super rad dude.

I think I'm still floating in the sixth dimension and let me tell you–it's full of stars (and cheeseburgers).

  4. Ordered from here today along with about 6 other coworkers. First things first: they got the order correct with no problems or complaints from anyone everything came as we intended it to be, something you don't always get when ordering with a large group. The burgers were huge and flavorful even the veggie burgers are a great size and stacked with toppings. The menu says that their burgers are made up of a combination of brisket, chuck steak, and porter house tips and are made fresh to order NEVER frozen. They also advertise that their sauces are for the majority home-made. The sweet potato fries are a must have!

I ordered The Who burger which is a 8 oz burger with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, & buffalo ranch sauce and I ordered it as a combo for only $8.75. If you want sweet potato fries its $2.00 extra but so worth it. Next time I would really like to try one of their root beer floats or a milk shake.

They have a lot of veggie and turkey burger options one of which my coworker ordered today. He tried the Green Day burger that comes with A huge Veggie Burger with baby spinach, cucumber, pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, avocado & Italian dressing. The burger itself was HUGE just like the others but with a little more height. He seemed to really enjoy it.

I really enjoy that he names all of his menu items after rock bands such as The Who burger I got, the Hendrix, Yolk-o, and so on. Clever concept.

  5. I have to say, I was so very excited to try these famous burgers.  I feel like reading the yelp reviews hyped me up to be eating the best burger i've ever had in my life.  Unfortunately I was left a little disappointed.  I ordered the Red Hot Chili Pepper Burger and it was good but not amazing, a tad salty.  Also not a fan of the fries.  Overall just ok to me but i'm willing to give it another shot.  Update to follow.

  6. One of the best Burger places I've ever been to.  Whether it's the awesome ambience with years of memorabilia on the walls of classic and in my opinion real rock.  Or the handmade burgers and fries.  Love and hard work went into this resturant.  The burgers are made of three types of meat mixed and seasoned for a perfect blend.  The turkey burgers and just as awesome if not better cause they are a bit healtheir.  The fries are super crisp and fresh considering they are hand made not just heated up like some places.  The staff is great, rony is awesome as well comes straight to your table to ask about the food.  Clearly someone that really cares about the resturant.  Absolutely no complaints even the price is amazing for the food.  Go here eat some burgers thank me later.

  7. This place has great atmosphere with super friendly employees. I appreciate all the creativity that went into the décor and menu. I highly recommend this place.

  8. Awesome spot. Great music, the owner is very nice and the burgers are huge and delicious! I used to go to the previous location, but now this place is 5 minutes away. Everything is prepared right when you order it and ingredients are high quality. Feels like the kind of smaller spot that puts love into everything they do. If you haven't been, go now!
