I order brunch or lunch from work on a pretty regular basis. They can be pretty busy around lunch times but I've never seen them mix up an order. Busy or not, their delivery time is pretty consistent and even if you intend to pick it up, it'll be ready when they say.
Their breakfast sandwiches are always pretty big so I hope you're ready for a hearty breakfast/brunch.
I haven't really tried any of their wraps but just hearing secondhand from my coworkers, I've only heard positive reviews.
I always order their hero sandwiches though, and I'd urge you to try a few of them. Each sandwich is stuffed to the max and chances are likely you won't finish the sandwich the first time. I'd highly recommend trying the Anchor – chicken cutlet, fried eggplant, mozzarella with marinara sauce on a garlic hero; you're also given the option of getting balsamic vinegar instead of the red sauce but I thing it's much better with the marinara.
Everyone that answers the phone and that works with you at the deli are incredibly friendly and makes sure you get exactly what you ordered.
Different owners…great food. Came here and had food from the steam table. Wow! The food was great you know, for a deli. Everything was fresh, the rice the empanadas, the roast beef. I will definitely come back for the steam table. The new owners work there too! And they're very friendly.
Wardon's is good. I've taken to walking down this way in the morning even though a local bagel place is far closer to my house, and I have not been disappointed yet. It looks like a pretty typical deli; reminiscent of the ones I used to go to in the 90s as a kid. What I mean to say is Wordon's isn't big and clean (aesthetically) and updated and polished, but it works. The staff is friendly and personable and make you feel like you're at home. My breakfast order is always accurate and has been great each time. I'll have to swing down for a lunch sandwich some time and see what they can come up with for me. Worth checking out if you live near by or find yourself on your way down to Bay Park.
