  1. After a long day in Williamsburg, I was in the mood for a freaking grilled cheese and this place had just what I needed. A simple looking nice bar with a very good beer menu. Not only that, the beers were mostly around $6-8, or a dollar or two cheaper than other craft bars in New York. I didn't see it operated, but they also have a large specialized gadget for those who want their growlers filled.

To start, the bartender offered me some freshly made spicy popcorn. The grilled cheese turned out great. A sturdy crusty bread with three to four different cheese melted in between. Having some salad was definitely preferred to lighten things up compared to a carb option you can have for a side.

The bartender constantly checked on me and made sure my water was filled. Really brightened my day getting such good service.

  2. Great service, great beer. Wish this were my local bar.

Love the beer society thing! Drink 40 beers and you're a member for life. One down for me, only 39 left to go!

Bit far from the subway. But worth the hike. Border of east Williamsburg and Greenpoint. Great decor, great selection of beer. Lots of Bells beer, especially seasonal stuff.

    Yep, plus free popcorn.

  3. I'm rare with a 5 star, but I think the food here was on point and the service made a huge difference to me. We rolled up with a toddler and two babies, young parents looking for a pint after some Halloween shenanigans in McGorlick. The beer selection was great, a lot of varieties, and a nice cozy seating area. We sat outside, but inside had a good vibe, almost old-timey saloon.

My brother-in-law and nephew shared a grilled cheese and had no complaints, and let me say this is from a pretty discerning 3 year old, so I've got to give credit when credit is due. Bar keeps were nice, quick on the pull, and generous with bubbly water for the tiny ones. Sometimes people with kids can be the worst in a restaurant, but we all need beer right?! So thanks team at One Stop for being so gracious, I will certainly return sans-children soon.

  4. One stop beer shop is so fucking cool. Joshua the bar tender is the shit and super helpful. The pulled pork nachos were  epic there was cheese all the way through. Their beer selection is insane- they have a great selection! They also have a borscht shot which is like a pickle back but with beet juice rather then pickles. They also have a kombucha cocktail. For a bar the food is amazing. Also there's outdoor seating….

  5. This is one of my favorite new bars Eric and I have been to recently. I don't know what they put on their freshly popped popcorn to season it but it makes the popcorn like crack…seriously.
The mushroom egg sandwich with truffle oil and the chorizo avocado sandwich for brunch are both great.
The selection of craft beer is definitely of a nice variety and the growlers are very reasonably priced. We most recently got a growler of Dogfish Head Festina Peche that made me especially happy.
    Service is great too.

  6. Three and a half stars actually. Bartender nice and helpful. Let us taste a coffee porter (smooth) and a scotch ale (slightly bitter). Coffee was very good and hot!  Two for one bloody Mary's (spicy)!

Pastrami and egg sandwich with sriracha (minus the guacamole) on crusty bread was flavorful but not exceptionally filling. The BLAT was equally tasty but the bread cut the roof of my mouth (tmi-sorry).

Very cute interior with seats outside as well. Would definitely come back if in the neighborhood.

  7. I hate beer, but I love One Stop Beer Shop!

If you love beer, this is your spot–there is a mile-long list of craft beers to choose from, available in drafts, bottles, and growlers. One Stop even carries some hard-to-find speciality beers, such as Ithaca Apricot Wheat Beer, which is not on the menu, but which one of the attentive bartenders will happily procure for you. But, if, like me, you aren't a beer consumer, there is still plenty to enjoy–four kinds of cider, three lambics, wine, picklebacks made with McClure's pickle brine, "Borshbacks" (with beet juice chaser), and even Komboucha. The cocktails also should not be overlooked, especially "Michelle's 'Top Secret' Bloody Mary," a spicy and strong concoction garnished with cornucopia of veggies, created by the highly skilled, creative, attentive, and energetic bartender, Michelle. The bloody mary includes a beer back in its already reasonable price (see attached pic). On Sundays, the bloody mary's and Micheladas are two for one all day. I challenge you to find a better deal.

No matter which night of the week or time of day you find yourself here, you can expect to consume and imbibe expertly crafted cocktails and gourmet meals served on rustic wooden boards (until 2am) while enjoying game playing or viewing, trying your hand at trivia, or belting out one of your favorite songs from a huge selection at one of the best karaoke nights in town.

One Stop is slightly off the beaten path in Williamsburg, but well worth the trek (use the infamous White Castle as signpost if you must, and follow the sound of revelry).

  8. I came in one Sunday night for "a beer". Yeah, you know how that goes. I stayed until I thought taking a run in the pouring rain was a good idea, thanks mainly to the fabulous bartender Rosie keeping me company. She's so upbeat and friendly, plays great music, and understands the importance of staying hydrated for optimal drinking conditions. We chugged lots of water together.

The bar itself is great too, nice food options, killer grilled cheese, outdoor seating, nice beer and cocktail list. I recall Rosie making me a great spicy margarita. Ask for one!
