I came here yesterday for breakfast around noon on Sunday with my gf and two of my best friends. It wasn't as busy when we walked in. My friends were able to get the corner table.
There is plenty of meter parking outside.
The juices are from a machine to keep it cold. I don't think there is a fresh squeezed option. But, I don't really care. I usually get coffee. I ordered the 'Big man'. It came with pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, toast and home fries. My gf ordered the jersey omelet, my friends ordered egg benedict, a short stack of sweet potato pancakes and the monte cristo. Overall, the food was very good. It wasn't gourmetified to milk more money like other breakfast places. "The homefries has thyme; I will call it rustic country potatoes and charge you 5 dollars for a side order". I ordered my eggs over easy and they came out perfect. Yolks runny for my toasty dipped.
The Staff was friendly and very attentive. Coffee was refilled. The only issue was the long food wait. But, it was lazy Sunday and the place was packed. And our table did order a lot of food. It gave us a lot of time to dissect our relationship flaws. I mean it gave us time to talk and catch up.
I have been wanting to check out this place for some time. Today was that day and I will shout from the top of my lungs to say I truly enjoyed my breakfast. I am always hunting for a place who can provide a larger sausage link and this place delivers. With 2 eggs over easy , home fries and Pancakes which were delicious and doesn't it sound simple….Yes but many restaurants who serve breakfast can't seem to provide a really satisfying meal like Pancake Palace did… 2 MEALS for $16.95 was affordable for even the most frugal of people.
4 stars ONLY because its my first time there and I want to make sure it was not simply by luck that their food and service by the lovely Deana (pronounced like Dee-na) was not by luck of the food gods. So on my next couple of visits, YES I intend to go back more often to see if they solidify themselves in a 5 STAR HEAVEN!!!!
Until then my fellow Yelpers, Happy Yelping!!!!
