Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

“Cleaner and much less dingier than Denny's. Menu is the same but food is much, MUCH better.”

“They allow substitutions such as fresh fruit cup or veggies instead of fries or home fries so it's easy to eat healthy here.”

“You know what you are getting-it's a pancake house with pie…but the service here was really good and the food was better than a lot of the local diners I have been to!”

  1. Had a business gig at Perks so I decided to show up early to get my grub on prior with the AARP crowd. Shockingly good meal.

The tomato basil soup is rocking! Albacore tuna grill cheese w/ both swiss and american on a thick white toast was as about as flavorful a tuna sandwich that I've had, surprisingly good lunch.

Clean & quiet with attentive service, of course you have to stay clear of the cane crowd motoring to the bathroom every 5 mins at a snails pace. $14 excluding tip is a bit high for a breakfast joint but I wasn't disappointed.

  2. Eh,  food was just alright but the waiters,  ours and all the others I heard around us,  were super nice and friendly!

My parents and I came here for dinner before attending a wake nearby. We have a Perkins near us that we discussed is a lot better than this location. Since this was my second dinner of the night I just got the Italian Chicken Salad and brought half of it home. The white balsamic vinaigrette wasn't too bad.  My mom got the potato pancakes. She stated that they were way too pancakey and not enough potato.   Even though they weren't to her liking like the Perkin's near us they were good enough for her to finish every last bite.  Haha. My dad just got omelette with Swiss, home fries,  and pancakes.   I had one of his pancakes and they were very fluffy and good. I was only going to eat half but ended up eating the whole thing. Lol

The restaurant was not crowded at all,  but the food took a bit to come out.   The waiter was very nice and would assure us it would be right up and continually checked to see if we needed anything and how everything was. It wasn't too much…. Just right amount of attention.
