  1. Meh. Just meh. Actually, kinda depressing and lifeless. Home depot circa 1995. You really have to work at creating an atmosphere so dull. On a good note: spotlessly clean. Oh, and off street parking.

  2. Was in for breakfast after hurricane Sandy hit. Although  was tasty, standard diner fare, I felt that the owner took advantage of the situation by canceling the breakfast specials and charging full price, even though the diner was running on normal electricity (no generator). Thought that was an un-cool move and bordering on price-gouging.

  3. Pretty descent tanner. Greek Salad was the best out of our meal. Burger was not medium rare and over cooked n bland and fries were soggy even though ordered them crispy. Grilled cheese was simple with American cheese n tomato. Better places right on the neighborhood.

  4. Beautiful, clean, lots of parking, courteous waiters and staffers. I had a pastrami sandwich on rye and the pastrami was delicious. My friend had cheese quesadillas. She was very happy with her meal.
The restaurant is cozy and quaint and very bright and  lit up.  The prices are reasonable. The service was excellent.
The waitress struck a good balance between attending to us and allowing us time to talk and eat. I always think that balance is  tricky  in a restaurant.

I was also very comfortable in the booth and was pleased that the chairs were not bolted to the floor.  I was able to move the chair out away from the table.

I would happily done here again.

  5. The good we ordered was to go. When ive eaten in the food is always good, and don't get me wrong, my food for my to go
Order was pretty good, but, they hit me with a bunch of to go container fees. I don't need my food in metal dishes, the styrofoam containers would be great for my western omelette with cheese to go. The to go container fees increased my breakfast order by $4.00-$5.00. For breakfast that is way too much!

My food is always good there which is why I am giving it four stars. I also am
Giving it four stars because you do get good service there.

Omelettes in my to go orders are hot and fluffy. I had a western omelette with cheese and my husband had a bacon and American cheese omelette. I get rye toast and my hubby gets white toast which was crisp and buttered.

Parking is available in the rear or right on Bloomfield avenue.

  6. Very clean diner with modern decor. It's small, but cozy and the menu definitely had a lot of things I wanted to try. I ended up getting a veggie omelette and it was delicious, fresh, and perfectly portioned for me. I am all for the gargantuan diner sized portions but sometimes a little portion control can be a good thing. If you like bigger portions though, you may leave here a little hungry.

The Bennies here sound delish and I will be back to try em out. Also two thumbs up for great, friendly service.
