“I'll admit its a little overwhelming all the options to choose from , however, I went with the french toast.”

“Their portions are as big as IHOP's, but better quality and better price.”

  1. Yes, my review has changed this dramatically. Where can I even begin with this place after my last outing there.

To put it simply, the owner does not deserve ANYONES money. It's a wonder to me how he even is in business with the way you are treated here.

My girlfriend and I went to get a nice brunch at le peep like we have done many times before and we are told there is a 10 minute wait. Fine, we wait, no problem. A couple walks in 8 minutes after us, sits for 2 minutes, and they call them in before us.
Naturally we ask why they were seated first and the hostess says she has no idea why this man has taken them to OUR table. That man was the owner; some micromanaging, sour faced man.

We let it go and then were seated after. Our waitress takes SO long (over 15 minutes) to come take our order that we decide to get up and leave because we have had enough. When we go up to pay for the stupid orange juice I got, I mentioned to the owner that it took long for us to get served and that we waited forever to get seated when others went ahead of us, he proceeded to scoff at me and pretty much roll his eyes.

Needless to say I had many words brewing in my mind to say to him but I paid my orange juice like a good customer and told him to think about how he treats his customers when he has none left.

    DONT COME HERE.

  2. Second time and I have to say. The cooks here know how to make breakfast. I say breakfast because that's all I have eaten here thus far.
Today. I enjoyed the Grande and Heavenly Banana French toast. The French toast I did not need any syrup. It was already sweet enough.  The Grande was very good and fulfilling. No salt necessary.
The perfect morning spot. If you catch this place when you do not need to wait. Consider yourself very lucky. Always filled with people.
This establishment is only open 7a to 2:30p.

  3. Perfect place to go for a brunch!

Although this particular restaurant isn't "fancy," it definitely is "cozy."

There are so many options: Starting from classic pancakes, omelets, all the way up to egg benedicts, crepes, and much more, !  My friends and I ordered: 3 different types of egg benedicts (muschroom/spinach
ch egg benedict, crabmeat benedict and classic benedict), crepes, and classic breakfast menu. I have to say they were delicious and huge in portion!  Loved it!!!

We visited this place during Christmas season: we loved their Christmassy atmosphere! The staffs were kind enough to take multiple pictures of us infront of the cute Santa decoration.

The only down side of this place is that they don't offer "freshly squeezed juice." Other than that loved the dine -in experience!

  4. Probably the best place for breakfast in the state of New Jersey. The food is absolutely phenomenal. The skillets are amazing so I highly suggest getting one. My favorite is the Gypsy Skillet. The french toast is also to die for. The coffee is amazing. The service is fast, sometimes there is a wait but its well worth it. Not much else to say other than you will not be dissappointed here.

  5. It's hard to describe Le Peep in one word. It's not a hipsteresque brunch eatery. Nor is it a diner. Le Peep is nothing fancy yet it's a nice alternative to a run-of-the mill diner. It's got plenty of breakfast/brunch options. So many, that you will spend quite some time figuring out what you want to get. The prices ain't bad, the service is decent and you won't leave hungry. You can't go wrong with any of their skillet nor can you complain about their large orders of pancakes and french toast. A solid option if you are looking for lots of food, that's a bit different in a no-frills joint.

  6. Came here for brunch this past Saturday.  Wow. Biggest brunch menu ever!  I think anyone and everyone could find something they like here.  Plenty of seating, plenty of light, not too loud, especially considering how many people are there.

Service was slightly better than mediocre.  Our waitress was nice enough, but also slightly sassy, and either forgetful or not as attentive as I'm used to.

Amaretto Latte – really tasty with a good amount of frothy steamed milk. The flavor was incredibly light though, so for having to pay extra, I would've liked to taste it more.. but I guess it was only 50 cents..
Mozzarella Sticks – Eh.  Nice and crispy for sure, and was NOT oily at all.  But the cheese.  Was this really mozzarella?  It seemed like it was melted down and mixed with ricotta or something.  It wasn't very stretchy/melty how it should be, but rather mushy.  Wasn't a huge fan of these because of that.
Dawn Breaker – I really really liked this dish.  I was craving something with eggs.  Not quite an omelet, and not a bake, but everything is nicely incorporated.  The bacon and scallions ^-^  I ordered a white english muffin to go with, but they gave me a cinnamon english muffin instead.  Not that it was bad, but it's not what I ordered.  I also got cheese grits on the side.  Not the absolute best grits that I've had, BUT I can very very much appreciate that they kept it simple and the consistency was wonderful.  I HATE grits that are so thick that it gels together. This was soupy enough, but not runny.  Great addition to my meal!

Definitely worth a visit, and perhaps a revisit; especially since there is SO much to try!

  7. Food: very good. I ordered the lumberjack breakfast which came with eggs, potatoes, sausage and pancakes. I actually thought the pancakes would be a little better, but they were still good. Everyone else I was there with enjoyed their food as well.

Atmosphere: busy, open, lots of natural sunlight. Not too big. Not too small. Pretty traditional breakfast spot. Kind of reminded me of a Perkins.

Service: not great. The place was busy, but we were initially told the wait would be 10 – 15 minutes and it ended up being around 35. Then I had to ask more than once for water and they forgot an extra side for our table which we had to ask twice for and then when they finally brought it, the waitress said "the kitchen just took a little longer to cook this" when our server clearly just forgot to put the order in. (We were almost done eating when the side was finally brought out.)

  8. Finally got around to trying this cozy brunch place after hearing so much about it. There was about a 20 minute wait on a Saturday which wasn't too bad. I ordered the Gypsy skillet and my husband ordered the eggs Benedict. The gypsy skillet was very flavorful and quite filling. I wasn't able to finish it at all. The potatoes were made just right with just the right amount of cheese. It was my first time eating eggs that were basted. The only thing I didn't like was the English muffins. They were overdone. My husband's eggs Benedict was very bland and the hollandaise was super watery. Definitely not one of the best he's had. Overall, this place was just ok for us. Not sure if we will go back, I think we would rather go to IHOP or a diner.
